Jahream Bula #269

It's this that is the most impressive for me. The desperation he has shown on countless occasions is really special.

I'm not used to seeing that in our jersey...
What I'm not used to is a WT player being desperate and staying calm rather than running around like a bloody chook without a head and making needless errors.

I have seen tons of desperation from the Tigers in recent years (along with some limp lettuce stuff) but I've seen bugger all composure in the team under pressure. Hope Bula's calm and clarity rubs off on some of his panicky team mates.

I agree. His composure thus far is extremely impressive. Long may it continue.

Bula has the hunger, effort, never give up and silky moves that he makes look easy.
You can’t train that into players.

He has a great foundation, let’s enjoy the ride and see how he develops over the next few years.

It’s up to Shenji to maximize his development, keep him happy and get some help around him so he wants to stay at the club.

Next year becomes even more important with kids like Bula stepping up.

Has done enough to get noticed and no doubt that South's chasers will be in his face this weekend - they are the best at niggling opposition players. I expect it will get fiery.

Approaching this week the hype surrounding Bula got a little out of hand and I knew he had the talent however it was a mystery whether or not he'd be our starting fullback for the next decade.

After watching his performance against the Dragons - I have no doubts he'll be a superstar.

Our attacking brand of football has improved drastically - he makes us look very lively when he has the ball and looks as composed for a young fullback as I've seen in a while.

The fact he has made more statements defensively than offensively with his size/age in a short time of NRL football tells you all you need to know. We've got a good one on our hands.

Bula is signed till 2025, I’d be extending that to 2027…NOW
That’s great till 2025. Probably need calm heads and maybe not pushing an extension beyond that. He’s only played three games. I remember a lot of you here were screaming about Sheens giving a him crack in the NRL- as I mentioned in a previous post,he did the same thing. with Chris Lawrence as a 17-year-old- I think Sheen’s still has an astute ability to pick promising juniors ,But Bulla is an exciting prospect.

Like Tedesco, Dwyer, Lawrence, Koroibete, Woods etc. if he is good enough, he is old enough!

It's nice to have someone with talent in the team who doesn't take ten years to get his act together.

I suppose he will be a Rooster in a couple of years, when Robbo gives Teddy a tap on the shoulder. The Chooks like to give their future players a year or two to develop in a feeder club (like us) before hiring them.
So true , it's the shitty process we're in unfortunately. We need to start countering it NOW that we are finally in a financial position to. I believe we're heading in the right direction finally, keep saying things don't happen overnight. So much more goes into being a Better team, relationships build ,combos become realised , and the most important is Trust in each other, in the organisation, in the coaches and in us the fans. Now maybe lol we can start throwing the brown paper bags like the roarters..jk we'd get caught with our luck..

And what is extra exciting is that he (Sheens) is even more 'bullish' about O. Large.
By a comparison, he was saying that Large reminds him of Greg Alexander when he is running the ball.
He's a few years off, but it is very promising having these genuinely gifted players coming through over the next 3 or 4 years.

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but who is O. Large?
