No need to imagine for those of us who were there watching/supporting either club in the '90s.We are running last two years in a row with the JV, imagine how bad they'd be individually.

One R Steve, Meriton Street, I used to own a house in the street.Like Anthony I was born in Drummoyne and grew up in Gladesville .
One thing I've always wondered is why Harry Trigaboff a major sponsor and one of the richest people in the country who could have bought the Wests Tigers with pocket money didn't consider this . The reason his empire is called Merriton is because his first block of flats built was in Merriton St Gladesville !
Unfortunately I think you’re correct TS.At the end of the day balmain fans are a dying
Yes hal I'm a lousy typist at my ageOne R Steve, Meriton Street, I used to own a house in the street.
I think the majority of us are 2 and 3 with the emphasis now on WT.The fact that in 6 and a half hours from origin of the thread till now we've got 6 pages of posts says that it stirs emotions in supporters
My stance I support Wests Tigers and only Wests Tigers and no longer support who I used to support in the previous century
I think supporters break down into 3 categories
1. As I described my stance
2. Support Wests Tigers but still remain a Balmain fan
3.Support Wests Tigers but still remain a Western Suburbs Magpies fan
ST George Illawarra have the same situation
I don't want change but would prefer our Cup side and Nrl side to have the same name
If this doesn't happen I'm still supporting im not throwing the toys out of the cot
Why are the 2 JV clubs at the bottom ? Maybe just co-incidence ?
Unfortunately I think you’re correct TS.
Hey now, pascoe reads this forum don't go giving him any ideasNow we have an orange Wiggle! If our halves don't improve we might as well call ourselves the Wests Wiggles.
Yea he has definitely back tracked - he originally said Wests could move to Perth now its Campbelltown. What i would like to know is how come Dean Ritchie knew about this and wrote a column about it. I smell a sneaky little rat with the initials BE who loves stirring the pot when it comes to Wests Tigers.Absolute beat up.. he is trying to walk away from the comments already saying it’s a hypothetical if he “won the Italian lottery”
Was with Balmain legends on the sauce, he spun a tall tale about what he would do with the club if he owned it. So he told the the old Balmain boys what they wanted to hear.
A journo “overheard” and published as if he was thinking about doing it.
The only reason it has legs whatsoever is because he probably would have enough money to buy it if he really wanted too.
Honestly, no jersey sponsors, an 80’s style leagues club and playing out of an old stadium run down that he doesn’t want to improve. He would go broke quicker than the sentiment would take to wear off.
It’s like my dad that had to walk bare foot in the snow to school every day. Uphill - both ways! But they were happier back then..

Unfortunately for Anthony he stated he "lives in the past",thats only good for the memories and although I respect his passion and support for a traditional Rugby League team I prefer to look to the future and HOPE our JV develops into a successful entity for many, many years to come....Self-promotion ✅
Meaningful in the real world ❌
Not much wiggle-room left.
