Look I think after today's performance, the Tigers would happily continue upping any offer for Johnson if required. However if we got SJ, a lot of what Brooks did would be acceptable as a 6, but the team still doesn’t have a lead voice or any real organisation or clear thinking.

They were saying on triple m that he’s met with the Tigers and we’ve offered him a 2 year deal with the Warriors only 1. Who knows.

Great post. Someone who actually watches the game and knows what he is talking about.

Unfortunately the tigers can have 3 sets in the red zone and the half just gets tackled or executes poorly in most instances.
Today he was in open field and instead of doing what is suggested is his strength (to run) he stop to put in an ineffectual kick.
There have been just to many excuses and failures to support it continuing.

I thought we spread it early in tackle count on a regular basis. Brooks did a cutout at least 2 times (maybe 3 but can’t remember) out the back which created space. Both times were well executed. Talau could have straightened and passed one of those plays to create space for jnr but tried to get on the outside and took the tackle instead.

We needed to see similar early shifts in the attacking zone, but we seemingly have a drop it off into a middle for a few plays, setting up for a cross field kick against set defence tactic.

So many times today we poked our nose though the line and there was no support play. This was already an issue and cannot understand how we aren’t training this second phase play and offloads with trailing runners.

He's one of those blokes that only plays to get a contract to feed his family. He needs to be on a year to year to have a go.

As I said previously he was smart enough to take advantage of a good year in a bad team and grab an attractive contract.
I just think that he’s on the downward spiral , but he’s got security for himself and family.
Imo was never going to offer very much coz he’s somewhat limited in his capabilities.
Good back up/ bench option which is I what I believe Benji told him.

Stayed with em for the most part. Defensively pretty solid. A few dumb mistakes. Attack not great. We almost broke through a few times but had no support. Had one great open chance at the line which would have got us within 2 pts at about the 60min mark.
Overall it wasn’t terrible and the scoreline flattered the bunnies.

Well , same old really ,, forwards made good yards , worked hard and easily matched the opposition,, then the halves did ………….. no second phase, no supporting the ball carrier, no attacking plays , no shape and no organisation… pretty much a typical LB led Tigers game circa 2023.. sadly Wakeham seems to now think that a halves role is to hang back till the 5th tackle and put up a gentle chip/ bomb yhe fullback .. oh, and to just pass it yo someone, anyone without threatening the line at all

I thought we were the better team in the first half. As has been typical this season, we offered very little in attack.

Yes, I had a winning day, pity about the footy though. Anyway, back to “Death Valley” next Saturday, can we turn our LO form around ?
Would be nice to think so.
