Are any of these true? Probably not lol.

Rui is never going to make NRL, if he does we are in trouble.

Terrible decision to give Rua a top 30 contract for two years, basically based on a cameo in one trial game with a few highlights.

I recall the hysteria on here over one particular performance that so overly hyped him up, but I suppose that we cannot blame them too much for clutching at straws after supporting a side so long in the doldrums.

Not a popular opinion on here but as a half Hunt is massively overrated. As a hooker he is a very good but we already have a very good hooker.

Don’t disagree but look at the rabble he has had to play with over the last few years at the Dragons. Our discards have been key roles for them Suli, Mbye, Lids, Musgrove mixed with total under performers on way overs.

I don’t think he is a mentor style player some say he could be though and think we should just commit to a direction rather than be half baked.

Not sure if anyone has posted this yet…

Manly youngster granted permission to leave, linked with two clubs

Manly Sea Eagles youngster Latu Fainu has reportedly been given permission to leave and negotiate with rival clubs.

At the age of 16, Fainu signed a four-year contract with the club, which put him on track to become the highest-earning teenager in rugby league history.

He is currently one of the most talented and promising young five-eighths and played a major role in leading Manly to become the Harold Matthews Cup premiers in 2021. In which he was named the Player of the Series.

Fainu is currently progressing well through the junior grades, however, News Corp reports he has been granted permission to move on at the end of the season due to salary cap issues.

His departure could also see his brother Samuela Fainu be moved on too. Samuela has 12 months left on his contract, but the brothers have always wanted to play alongside each other on the same team.

Unlike his brother Latu, Samuela is an aggressive forward, primarily playing in the front row. He joined the Sea Eagles at the age of 14, has played five NRL games and achieved representative honours for the NSW U19s side last year.

News Corp understands that Wests Tigers have emerged as the favourite to pick up the brothers. This is due to the club having Sione Fainu on their roster- the prop joined midway through last season from Manly.

The Fainu family also remain close to Scott Fulton. Fulton was awarded the head of recruitment role at the club a couple of months ago.

The newly formed Dolphins have also been linked to the two Fainu brothers, Latu and Samuela.

I agree wholeheartedly. I watch him play and often think if Brooks took the options he sometimes does he would be crucified, yet somehow he is a massive upgrade according most on here. The guy has barely played finals in years. Last year he was very good, this year average and 2021 average.

Fainu would be an awesome signing and one that may even move our timeline for competing forward.

While I know Hunt is unlikely, a Hunt-Fainu pairing next season would've been our best halves pairing since Benji-Lui and maybe even since Benji-Prince. A controlling COMPETENT 1/2 and a dynamic running 5/8.

And I see a few Brooktards claiming Hunt is overrated yet they'll waive pom-poms for a guy who hasn't played finals in his entire care let alone achieved a lick of what Hunt has accomplished. The stupidity that comes from the Brooks fans is unbelievable.

100% correct.
It's beyond ridiculous that Brooks gets mentioned by anyone like he's in the same class as Hunt or Moses.
It's an illness of the mind.
