I don't think fans who have sat through the last 10 years of our rabble have formed opinions on the club from watching those guys.I didn't suggest not watching it. Just not taking their opinions overly seriously.
That's probably fair enough- can't question that.I don't think fans who have sat through the last 10 years of our rabble have formed opinions on the club from watching those guys.
Maybe uncontrolable.or has someone at manly seen something wrong with the kid and realised that they should cut him lose
Except he got an offer for much more money that was twice as long....
Your interpretation of a 'fair offer' might be slightly dated...
Along with most of your other postings.
It's a deliberate ploy no doubt. They don't want him to be associated with the failures of this season, so he can start with a relatively clean slateDoes anyone think it's strange that we have not heard from Benji for months now.. At the beginning of the year he was everywhere in media but nothing now and I understand he wants to just get into his role. But I think him talking to media about club direction etc.. it would help keep the scum media away and paint us in a better light.
Offer them a fee, not sure we have anyone to swap. We have cash to burn thoughTrindall has to be one of the most talented halves stuck in NSW Cup, needs a first grade starting gig as soon as possible.
Happy for him to get a train and trial and show what (if anything) he's got... Nothing permanent though, contracts have to be earnt.I seem to remember him having a really bad run of form towards the end. Could be wrong, I'd completely forgotten about him.
At his best, he was great. Unless the money is appropriate, and allows us to still sign another decent half, it's probably not worth the risk.
Not all true.If I could offer any advice, it's to not listen to the 360 guys too hard. As has been pointed out- there is a definate agenda against SOME people at the Tigers. Pascoe is particularly in the spotlight of James Blooper & Anastasia.
Think about it- they have done NOTHING but bag Brooks for 3 years. Now he leaves for Manly & the Tigers are a shambles, Manly has secured a great talent & are probably favourites to win 32 premierships in a row.
Lee Hatwearer says that Fulton & Marshall had robust conversations on players & disagree on some targets- Schuster for example- Anasta turns it into some kind of feud. Benji has been in Bali for nearly a week. Anyone seen his Insta pics? Didn't look to be fighting with Fulton, unless he tagged along.
Tonight- Fainu is only being let go because he's not up to it. He's only been regarded as the most exciting prospect coming through the ranks for the last few years. But now? Nah, he's rubbish. Not like Brooks, who could be in line for a surprise SOO call up.
If they get an opportunity to put a negative spin on a story regarding the Tigers- they take it. WITHOUT FAIL. And then these biased comments become message board gospel.
Every topic they bring up- remove 80% of the vitriol & CONSIDER the rest. We all HATE Pascoe. Why? I'd guess that 99% of everyone's opinion is based solely off the intrepid information handed to us by the same guys that think Brooks signing with Manly is a coup.
Tallis makes a valid point, if Fainu is the best young prospect atm why sign Brooks. Caryannis was saying because it to try and ensure instant success. Coaches thinking of today not worrying about tomorrow to keep themselves in a job kind of thing. Not all true.
They actually questioned Manly's signing of Brooks, and that once DCE retires a halves pairing of Brooks/Schuster would be a disaster.
Benji was in Fiji. The rumours of them butting heads was from before that.
Them questioning why they would let go of Fainu and sign Brooks makes sense. Why let go one of the so called most promising players in the game and sign Brooks? It's a fair question. If it's not talent, is it off field stuff they've seen? They could have kept him by not signing Brooks and if they were that pressed for cash, not offering Schuster as much.
I do agree that sometimes, especially Hooper, it's over the top.
All goes away when we start to see success. For a club who hasn't been in the finals for over a decade we can be very precious.
Is Carryannis suggesting Tigers are not concerned about “instant success?”Tallis makes a valid point, if Fainu is the best young prospect atm why sign Brooks. Exactly. Siebold is managed by Isaac Moses and Isaac Moses manages Brooks. That's pretty much 💯 why Brooks is ManlyThe clue to the non retention of Fainu & the signing of Brooks , on much more & longer than the WTs were offering , has a lot to do with who they are managed by & who manages the coaches of the respective clubs .
if you ever listen to Gus’s podcast he often talks about the influence some managers have on clubs .
The length of the contract makes it very obvious, can't think anyone in their right mind would offer 4 years to him.Exactly. Siebold is managed by Isaac Moses and Isaac Moses manages Brooks. That's pretty much 💯 why Brooks is Manly
Deepest Condolences to you mate and all your family🙏Thank you to all that reached out with their condolences for the recent loss of my father, as it again shows the depth and camaraderie of the vast majority of this community, which did similarly so when we lost our daughter last year.
I was lucky to be very close with him for my 57 of his 89 years. Despite showing me love all those years, being from a different era, I was so happy that he finally verbalised it in the hours before his passing, even though it was hard to understand as he struggled.
Please tell those close that you love them at every opportunity.
And on 4 yearsExactly. Siebold is managed by Isaac Moses and Isaac Moses manages Brooks. That's pretty much 💯 why Brooks is Manly
100%...Thank you Isaac Moses, now off you go Brooks and frustrate you sh.t out of the Manly fans and playersAnd on 4 years
We wouldn’t have instant success no matter what we do from here. We have no halves and no current NRL halves are available or interested in coming here.Is Carryannis suggesting Tigers are not concerned about “instant success?”
Not when you have a 5 year plan !!!!Is Carryannis suggesting Tigers are not concerned about “instant success?”
I'm disappointed with many decision made by the club over many years.Come on stop giving them outs , this is a priority for us , this will define our club for years to come
