Don't want a West vs Balmain thing but does anyone know what year West took full control of the board 2014 ?

I don’t believe Wests took full control as they handed 10%ish to Balmain to support them, wests have more control however the direction is divided and not united. This was why Marina Go was put in place for the united front which then Pascoe succeeded. Someone else would know more than me about this!

I think the players just need to back their coaches against upper management and the Board will have to act. Think Sheens and Benji hold the advantage here.

It is purely a Lee and Pascoe thinking they know better against Sheens and Benji. Basically Lee and Pascoe put Sheens and Benji into the position, they then went the way that they wanted to go, Lee and Pascoe don't like it, hired Fulton to be their guy picking their players, and it created a bigger divide.

The board should be stepping in, but with Lee as chair (plus major sponsor) and holding the power (it seems) they are just sitting back and doing nothing, while the club is falling apart.

The bottom line is the player managers control player movement and if you get offside with them you’re stuffed. It’s like trading with China, you might not like the deals they bring to the table, but you need their deals.

So either Sheens Benji and Fulton find a way to get on or the three of them can hit the road…with Pascoe

We signed a backrower who wasn't playing well in ESL and everyone said he was past it and a rubbish signing. He seems to be going OK.

No idea who you are talking about, yet I can think of several signings where that killed us:
St George had a reserve grade player (ex Tiger) we signed, did one good game and tanked.
John Cayless (Nathans Brother) we signed, he did nothing after coming back from ESL.
Matalino/Reynolds/Packer/etc that we signed at the end of their careers.

I can only think Gareth Ellis and Pat Richards who performed here.

They don’t care mate. They sponsor a podcast that gives nearly everyone at Wests Tigers expletive laden blasts every week. The footy club is just a minor part of their business and I don’t see any desire to have it succeed.

Obviously losing has just caused this because if we were winning it wouldn’t matter

But bc we are losing everyone is saying “it was a nice pipe dream the old benji sheens combo … but you can’t have a coach with no experience and expect results”

And now agents don’t want to send their players somewhere where it’s not even working with sheens as mentor … imagine when he leaves… benji is still jumping in the seasons and getting tackled and you have Robbie thinking he owns the joint

We lack professionalism
