Having the best players is what makes the best coaches, but the best coaches are able to attract the best players. It appears Sheens/Benji are unable to do that.

They discuss our roster, identify a weakness and set a meeting with their recruitment manager. I expect it goes something like this…

Tim: Scott, it’s been a fortnight, how are we going?
Fulton: ok, I’m garnering interest from the managers of players X, Y and Z.
Tim: Player Y suits us. I’ll talk to the big wig and get the ball rolling.
Pascoe: Tim, Board is happy with player Y, we can go as high as $535K for 3 years. Company C can find a further $50k for him.
Tim: Scott, start negs, we can go 3 years, try and keep them under $550K all in. Meanwhile, keep player X on the hook. If this goes south, we can work with him.
Fulton: Will do.

Etc, etc, etc….he does not work autonomously. He is not an equal. He is under direction of the Head Coach who has to work within the parameters set by the Board through their rep, Lee and their direct report, the CEO. The Head Coach and the Board agree they need to strengthen the centres. The CEO provides context as to what we can offer and the Head Coach sends his Recruitment Manager off to secure the players signature.

If Fulton is running around disobeying the Head Coach, then piss him off. Insubordination should not be tolerated.

I’m confused, did he actually mention Benji’s name as the shareholder? If not, not sure why Benji is having a sook? If anything it makes him look like he’s a shareholder

Maybe all the infighting has been caused by the Holbrook approach aswell .

Benji , Robbie part of his assist
then he selects the rest
we would be much better placed in my opinion than the shit show we now have , Sheens was a bad idea , we passed him off years ago cause he was passed it ,FFS

Not discrediting your info @tigermate you heard what you heard from Mario Tartak.

I just think he is saying those things to strengthen Fulton’s position & weaken Benji’s influence at the club.

1 - we know Tartak & Fulton are close.
2 - we are led to believe Fulton & Benji are at loggerheads.
3 - media reported Tartak had lunch with Lee, Pascoe & Fulton a few weeks ago & strange Sheens/Benji not in attendance.

This all smells of Tartak exerting his influence as manager of 5-6 of our top juniors & 2 potential recruits in the Fainus, all to get Fulton the power with recruitment OR worse than that Lee & Pascoe are in on it to force Sheens & Benji out.

If they support a mid level manager over the Head of the footy department, then that just proves they don’t give a flying f%%k about improving the team on the field.
This is why that petition is going around…we already suspect that the board and WA do not care. This will confirm it.
 
The soap opera just keeps getting bigger and bigger as each year . Surely the club is on life support now just waiting for someone to turn the machine off.

Every second day we are giving the media a ton of material to drag the club through the mud. If we had anything that resembled leadership things would be nipped in the bud before becoming headline. All the big players in the club,Lee,Pascoe,Sheens,Benji and Fulton need to either hand in their resignations or get their act together pronto and all pull in the one direction, but we are talking massive egos and that will not happen

No, he didn’t name any names so he can’t be sued. What he was suggesting was an enquiry within the club which is the direction it’s going.

Well they employed Fulton so if they backtrack it will make them look stupid. But they have endorsed Benji every step of the way so that causes equal hassle.
The answer imo is who can do the most for the club moving forward, and only they can decide that.
