Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

FYI on the Sullivan topic - I posted here before that personal terms are not an issue as Sullivan wants the move to us over Newcastle. Very good pitch from the club is the word and he didn't really consider anywhere else.

Where the issue lies is Flanno being reasonable with the release - they don't want to chip in and we don't want to pay full freight. Sullivan now pushing hard for the release isn't working in favour for Flanno and I find it extremely unlikely he'll be anywhere else in 2024 especially within the squad when Flanno officially takes over.
Any idea if he’s being told we are signing him as a 6 or as a 7 ?

Why are you so antagonistic? I told you my point of view , and outlined why I believe . So you choose to be a bit of a dick ? Lol whatever .
It doesn’t matter what you think . The club thinks like me ….. and time will tell .
I hadn’t posted her for a long time , but speaking to you and tucker the other day made remember how much this place is really full of some life’s special people .
People just incapable of being an adult .
Don’t worry about replying … cause I really don’t care what you say . You can cry yourself to sleep when Sullivan and Sezer start in the halves next year … or worse Sullivan starts in KOE cup. As if we were spending that money on someone else …
If you want to be delusional, that's fine. Many of our fans are.
To build a successful and harmonious squad you need to focus on many different aspects, cap and squad management at the heart of it.

amazing how quickly things turn. can't help but wonder what might've been, but I think with Bula, Latu and Da Silva we have the makings of an incredibly talented spine that could dominate the league within 4 years. that's without even mentioning the likes of Sullivan, Conti, Large, Galvin and Isdale, who all have potential in their own right.
They won‘t come close to dominating the game with how this club is run.

Are you bragging about our forward pack atm?
😂😂😂😂

You'll have to let the rest of the comp in on it - They're all obviously petrified of them....
💯 batboy.
Some of our forwards have put in a good consistent season, but not many are willing to charge onto the ball and really dent the defence and not many willing to get off their line fast and whack the opposing ball runners.

Doubtful. May/To'o. Not even sure he would be first choice back up with Turuva/Jenkins/Peachy and only one centre spot opening in FG for them to compete for.
Would say May/Tago are the starting centres with Peachy backing up.
To'o would be guaranteed one wing, with Turuva/Jenkins and supposedly Staines fighting for the otherside. Honestly Staines going back doesn't make a whole heap of sense unless someone else is on the move.

I won't name names but one of the lads was talking to French & told him to come to the Tigers.

He said tell em to hit me up and was very keen on the idea...

I reckon he'd jump at the chance to come back to the NRL, any club.
Wish the Powers to be , our on the same wave link , he would give , our backline the biggest boost , any chance of getting into benji ear

I think it's pretty likely that he'll play 6 outside Sezer as an apprenticeship with Fainu starting the year in Cup. the fact that WT said that they want to build a team around Sullivan tells you all you need to know. they see him as the long term 7 at this point and will prepare him as such.

this is why the Sezer option is great business, because if we think Sullivan is ready we can move Sezer on, whereas if he isn't ready or is not performing up to standard we can keep Sezer.

But what if Sezer isn't up to standard?

We're all still talking about Poles' ball returns in second half against the Raiders....
- the 20 year old with less than 20 games under his belt...
We've apparently got one of the highest rated young props in the game, And a bloke who's played at the highest level on 850k a year....

I've barely seen either one bruise a grape all year.
Stef does some damage running the ball from his sheer size and mobility, but he very rarely gets deep and hits top speed when running onto the ball.
He is capable of being one of the very best props in the game IF he’s prepared to get deeper and run onto the ball harder.
Klemmer hasn’t run the ball his hardest since he left the Bulldogs, so highly unlikely he will do it ever again,

I’ve got huge doubts about Sezer also.
No club in the UK want him, we are the only NRL club interested in him.
I hope I’m wrong, but I can’t see it ending well if we do sign him,
I dont watch much ESL to make a fair judgement but for the same reasons as you plus concerns about our coaching staff I'd honestly be shocked if it ends well.

like they do with Brooks....
When the whole side is running the ball hard and tackling hard like how they played against the Cowboys at Leichhardt, ordinary halves can look very good such as Wakeham on that night,
So just maybe the far bigger problem than our halves is how the team around them plays.
Players such as Jayden Sullivan and Latu Fainu will cut the opposing team to pieces if their team is winning the physical battle in attack and defence, but it’s every chance they like Brooks will look like chooks with their heads cut off if their team mates are losing the physical battle.
