I still think the Campbelltown upgrade is more important, love Leichhardt but it’s a boutique ground and not a long term solution. Pack out a new 30,000 stadium at Campbo 8-9 times a year and fill Leichhardt 3-4 times.

Any potential new owners, this is the obvious move.

But that’s not the short term plan is it . Hasn’t it already been stated we want to play Magic Round in Brissy, Country game in Tamworth and split the rest of the home games between LO and CS.
We’re lucky to get av10,000 at CS and maybe av12,000 at Leichhardt so, at least for now, can’t see them playing more games at CS.
That may change in years to come and will no doubt be dependent on funding.

Hal,if we start winning and getting rid of the internal bickering I can see us playing more at CSS and attracting big crowds...about 6/7 years ago I was at Campbo on a Friday night against the sharkies and there was about 18000 there ...its achievable if we cut the BS and put our eggs in one bascket ....just my opinion...WE NEED A HOME GROUND .....ASAP....(either CSS or LO,we need a base).....

be surprised if we play the bulk of games at CSS in the future, crowds do not attend. The junior academy needs to be built at CSS to capture the juniors for the club.
LO redeveloped will be a big hit for crowds and close to COE. LO also gets plenty of use with junior sport and schute shield etc

Can’t see either Magic Round or Tamworth changing coz they are both NRL intitatives that all teams need to follow.

Bigger crowds at our home games in NZ. Forget CSS/LO. Lobby NZ gov for upgrade of Waikato stadium.

Is there anything happening with the Campbelltown upgrade ? Can’t say I have heard much but I may have missed it… Would like to see the Cambo Council pushing it

Leichhardt games are attended by the latte sipping crowd who turn up because it's an event. It's a bit like Mardi Gras.
Campbo fans are real league fans who've been neglected. They won't turn up until Wests puts in a real effort to connect with the area. They're not interested in going just for photos for their Instagram like the Leichhardt toffs.

What a load of absolute horse shit ! It’s an event , sure , but it galvanises the community , of many many league fans . Just within a 5-10km radius is strong clubs in that district ;
Leichhardt wanderers
Five dock
Ryde Eastwood
Concord Burwood
Leichhardt
Holy cross
All strong named clubs in junior footy , most who played would have heard about.
That’s just junior clubs .
Cambo is full of transient people from other areas , who follow a variety of sports , due to the large ethnic community who has migrated out there from places like Fairfield / Liverpool etc . Who have other allegiances to other clubs and sports .
