I will answer my own Statement. "Good one Scoop"! The club is so short of talent for our Rookie Coach to work with next year, and any expectations beyond a wooden spoon threepeat is unrealistic. The quality is not Top 4 standard for NSW CUP. Winning more than 4 games as per years 2022 & 2023 may very well be unrealistic. As a supporter I see no light at the end of the tunnel. The forum posters are sincere but have no answers and the key club administrators are in denial. One giant hole has been dug and the fans are the ones trapped and struggling for air.
 
Our goose is already cooked. We could not have had a better recruitment drive than we had leading into this season. It’s going to take a lot more than a good centre. And chances are, if we land one, he’ll underperform, as most players that come here do.

The club has already stated they don’t plan on ‘winning’ until (atleast) 2025.

So you want to let 2 solid 1st graders go and replace them with who….please don’t tell me that our Juniors are the way to go.
So unless they have players knocking down the doors to sign with the wooden spooners no no no no no.

Except we focused solely on the forwards and relied on what we already had in the backline, most notably a halfback who hadn’t proven himself in over 10 years of footy!
Halves now changed and hopefully some better additions to the centres and we may actually get somewhere next season. Don’t know about anyone else but I long for the glory days of finishing 9th 😂

They haven't said they will leave... however the articles keep coming out.

We ain't going to be top 4 next year so are we delaying the inevitable?

I'd like us to sign Josh Curran as a 13 and Huuamole Olakautau to replace Ice.

Blore can replace Stef and Samuela onto the bench.

Why not!

Exactly retaining is just as important as recruiting. You don't let two good ones go to replace them - or just end up in the same position or worse.
You add to those two to give them someone to play beside that strengthens the side and gives some hope of being competitive.

Unless they legitimately have clauses in their contracts for them to walk out.

Which is a possibility.

We were missing Bateman & Utoikamanu last night.

Pole is one of the best young forwards in the game - still eligible for fleg.

I think we need a genuine 13... and yes, the pack will be fine.. as it's been most of the year as the problem hasn't been getting down the field but Red zone attack, getting repeat sets and scoring points.

Saw Samuela in KOC today - I realise that the Fainus have a lot of brothers but I reckon he was separated at birth from Stefano! They will be the new bookends in years to come. Hell, they'll be the entire Encyclopaedia of Bookends!

Twal has taken it up another level this year.

We need a genuine lock.
I'd be trying as hard as we can to sign Curran.

The kid Kitt looked very promising in that woeful performance.
Anyway, I'm hoping the spine is much improved next year - really unlocking the forwards but we definitely need some better backs.

Stef is part of the reason we haven't played finals footy. When is the last time he has put on a big hit to change momentum when the game needs it? Every club needs an enforcer. The door is there Stef. Surely you want to be part of a successful redbuild. Parra are no longer in their premiership window so you're not winning a premiership there.

It's on them to help the team improve.

So they should put the work in.
Ice was trash last night and I've seen Stef fire up like 3 times. He's soft.
