Seems like a tactic from the Dogs to throw the Tigers off the AFB trail and focus on Luai.
No way dogs could afford AFB and Luai on 1mil+ each. They have Chrichton, Burton and Mahoney all on 700k+ and Addo Carr and Kikau on also on money in that same area (slightly less). Curran, Taafe and Tracey would be on good money too.
Based on team needs, you would think Dogs prioritise AFB and Tigers prioritise Luai.

FFS. We will lose this deal so badly if we give 2 players to penrith. I'd let Klemmer go (especially since we are looking for a new forward like AFB) but not Galvin. Don't help the sneaky and manipulative Ivan. He is willing to dunk on his own players to do what benefits his son. After back to back spoons, next year is not the year for Luai to come. Best case scenario is Luai comes here on 1.2 million in 2025 (he isn't coming for less), Klemmer stays for 2024, AFB comes in 2025, Olam comes for 2024, and Detective Lee is yeeted into Antarctica

There’s no reason for the club to get manipulated if we sign him for 25. And before everyone goes clutching their pearls, it’s pretty common for teams to request players from a club one of their own players has signed with a year in advance. The most notable was the Cowboys requesting the Saifiti bros if Newcastle wanted Ponga a year early. Knights said no. Play on. No need to make a federal case out of it.
