Cos he’s always been contracted and a vital cog. Now he’s served his purpose and they are planning for life after him.
That would be the only trade worth making that both teams would benefit from. There’s no reason to give up Klemmer or a promising junior. Simpkin is the only expendable player in the squad who has some kind of value to another club.
