Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

🤣 Off season sucks dog balls….

Genuinely does. Everyone gets a bit loopy lol

Latu is a great player. But if I had to pick one with Luai in the team I’d take Galvin. Luai was a Fulton signing and only the Tigers were after him no other club and was allowed by Manly to find another club. You put Galvin on the open market there would be a line of suitors. Penrith wanting him shows even the premiers with their long list of juniors coming through think of the kid that highly.

Lucky we have them both bro, we will be
able to to get on a good gauge on it all...

Tupou skinny? Now I'm convinced you don't watch games
I am 100% confident that most of the individual bad takes on social media from Wests Tigers "supporters" who allegedly watch all games are mainly from flogs who turn off the TV as soon as we are down by a try - or were barely paying attention at the pub/club because they don't have Fox/Kayo at home and otherwise primarily watch channel 9 games!

You're giving them too much credit.
Facebook fans check the score then join in the Facebook pile on.
If you did a survey 50% of them would think Benji still plays.

We couldn’t call ourselves a development club with a straight face if we let Galvin go.

On the other hand, if we sign Luai, will Galvin want out at some point in the future?

Heard on the Radio or some such the other day (Pod Maybe)....
That when the Panthers are losing players - They've been getting a wrap for putting out
fake stories and narratives... Been happening the last few years apparently.
There was mention the 1.4 number for Luai has been peddled by them (Fletcher Maybe?)

But yeah, Apparently they plant stories on the other clubs who're sniffing around their players as some sort of comeuppence or to inflate the numbers around the players they're certain to loose.
Only affects us this year (Round Luai) but are makin a name for themselves in that space...

Dirty tactics maybe - Or playing to win...
Who knows.
Grubs

Galvin played and captained Australian Schoolboys. Two great players, in my opinion I’d take Galvin every time. Only Tigers were after fainu manly allowed him to go elsewhere. Fact that panthers want Galvin with the amount of talent coming through speaks volumes of the potential of this kid
Please don’t use the word great to describe kids. They have done nothing, they are still being educated in the game. Talented juniors I’ll cop.

Wherever he goes he’ll have to first learn from then outplay a senior player. Best way to develop.

What i can't get my head around is why the club has allowed Melbourne Storm to suggest to the club that we can take Olam of their hands but they want Galvin and one other Campbelltown junior + Bore. Now Penrith said in the press there happy for Laui to go this year but in return they will take Klemmer and Galvin off our hands.

West Tigers wake the F--k up and stop smelling the tinted roses b/s you have been feeding yourself for so long you have wanted top local juniors to stay and play for the tigers but you are about to start driving them away.

What exactly is the club meant to do?

Laui money is not the short term or long term answer to fix our problem. to pay overs for a solid first grade player and not elite talent is not worth it.

Yeah why do we have to offer up 2 bloody players just to get 1 from them?. Especially Melbourne, they want Olam gone then make it a one for one swap not this oh we want two of your players for our one! They can get stuffed!

It's damage control. Makes it sound like the player went for overs and reduces any talk about the player leaving for other reasons such as culture or not getting a fair crack. It's mainly fed to the fans to make them feel like they still win in some small way (it's not us, they just went for the money).

Klemmer and a gamble on a youngster still to make first grade for Luai seems like a decent no brainer swap to me.

Idk what is too difficult about that decision.

We are all complaining about having shit halves .. So bite the bullet and make it fkn happen. Do we want to get the club moving or what ? Do we want to finally have good halves .. , or still just stay in a rut.
No if the Premiers want those players, you should be tipped off that it's not a deal in your favour.
