How can manly have
Turbo $1 mill +
Cherry $1 mill
Olakau $1 mill
Schuster $800,000
Jake T $850,000-$900,000
Brooks $700,000
Plus multiple mid range players $450-$550 and then the press question how the tigers would be able to fit two $1 mill players in 2025 🤦‍♂️
Don’t forget teams like south’s and roosters 😂🤦‍♂️

before I cop it, yes I said something about Haumole. I was told by someone close to WT that he was intrigued by the prospect of joining us given his relationships with the Fainu boys and Scott Fulton and that would we would offer a competitive contract for him to join for 2026.

competitive implies market rate with a reasonable amount of years, not $1 million a year for 8 years until he is 34. credit to Haumole and Tartak for getting Manly to go that high. that is an insane deal that may well end up being salary cap suicide with Schuster, DCE and the Trbojevic’s all there on good money.
You hear what you hear my friend - appreciate the input regardless.

Have to admit manly have got good value from DCE long contract, rarely has a long term injury, has played a lot of games for his club
barely play finals though in that 10 year period. And that's with a pretty talented team (apart from the last 2 years)

Garrick .. supposedly got an upgrade to his contract to be around $800,000 a season .. being their goal kicker and try scoring winger/fullback when Turbo is out .. (which could be a long time again next season) .. !! So Manly seem to now have endless check book just like the Rorters .. !!

Kurt Capewell immediately transferred to Warriors.
First news about Capewell going to the Warriors was on November 25th when he was spotted meeting with Coach Webster. Various articles re his future at the Broncos came out the following week and walla, just under 2 weeks later (13 days) he is announced.
Could this be the first sign of how the 10 day counter period is reflected in the media?

Garrick on $800k??? Where did you see this, that’s a horrible contract to have a winger on, his manager deserves a raise lol

That’s easy! Depends which calculator you are using. They must have the same one as South’s and East’s. Max 6 characters when adding. When you use this one the numbers stack!

Ref Blore .. has been a lazy trainer, even when injured his recovery period was extended due to him being lazy .. one good game hitting Slimey Eels players doesnt mean he's gonna have a good season .. he's gotta be more consistent in defence .. not just one big hit in a season.

Storm are being crafty .. at first they were open to trading Blore for the "out of favour" at the Storm Olam .. but they wanted us to pay the majority of Blore's contract for next season .. NOW .. Storm have signed Blore, they are now reluctant to release Olam .. ?? Here's hoping things worked out for all parties involved .. the next 10 days will be interesting to see if we allow Blore to go .. or if we are able to convince him to stay. I still have hope that Olam will come to us.

Our problem is .. Blore knows we are thinking of playing him up the middle (prop) .. not out wide (back rower) where he likes to run .. and that Benji likes and is thinking of playing big Samuela Fainu and Chris Faagutu as backrowers ahead of him .. !!

My mail last night also stated that Olakua’tua will not enter free agency and will most likely be signed by Manly before that as they’re offering a crazy amount of money over a crazy amount of years.

The next morning he gets announced for a 8 year $8 million you failed to mention that bit.

I’m not even gonna reply to your thoughts on me claiming Luai is remaining at Penrith - I’ve made it clear in previous posts that I’m not stating that.

Constantly taking a crack at my credibility as a poster does get tiring even ignoring you doesn’t seem to work - I’m sure you forgot before both the Luai and Olam links were made public who shared it on this forum that we were after them (if you go back further enough you’ll see it was me) I’ve never wanted to be that guy to defend myself or what I hear but when I’m consistently targeted for being a liar, I gotta pull out the receipts. I won’t even begin to mention other times but I’ll just leave it at that.

This will be my last message directed at you. Happy holidays.
You remind me of someone

...saying you wont reply and then do so immediately looks tryhard...I never used to notice you but now youre giving scoops good and bad all over the joint...take it easy

Fantastic update. I am glad the WTs are playing hardball with the Storm. It is great also that Marshall has Fainu and Fa'agutu in his thoughts.

Thanks for the info @The-moP , is that mail about Faagutu playing on an edge as he mentioned in the club podcast that is the one position he has never played?
