Things that make you laugh!! 😂

A warning to all you drivers at Christmas

Be careful about drunk driving as we are getting close to Christmas and police are out there checking on people.

Last night I was out for a few drinks. One thing led to another and I had a few too many cocktails and then went onto the wine. Not a good idea.

Knowing I was over the limit, I decided to leave my car at the bar and took a bus home. Sure enough, I passed a police checkpoint where they were pulling over drivers and performing breathalyzer tests.

Because I was in a bus they just waved it past. I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise as I've never driven a bus before and I am not even sure where I got it from

Boxing day!
G'day Tiger_Fanatic3: Many thanks to You 👍...and Tiger_one 👍for helping put a smile on the face of any or maybe even many [who knows] on here that have a rough time not only now, but leading into Christmas as well.

Ps...I may have a Christmas present for someone....IN DESPERATE NEED OF A ROOF OVER THEIR HEAD.
I have a brand new never used tent [i.e. apart from the initial erection to make sure everything was ok with it].
I purchased the tent from Tentworld, in Padstow from memory, a couple of years ago when my personal circumstances changed, and I thought I would have to live in it.
It's a very good quality, large [too damn heavy for me to move around by myself] 'pump up' tent with a solid air pole frame.
It has a large bedroom which can be divided in two by hanging a supplied divider.
Has another large room for kitchen and lounge area.
Also, an awning for the front of the tent.
I paid just over $1000 for it, and I've had it advertised for a couple of months for $499 with no inquirers.
I'm not dropping the price any further as I don't want some person getting a bargain they may not deserve.
I'd rather give the tent away.
I'm now prepared and happy to DONATE this tent to the RITE PERSON.
To someone that I know is in GENUINE NEED OF A ROOF OVER THEIR HEAD.
NOT someone that's going to take advantage of this offer, then re-sell it.
I live in the Port Macquarie area, and I am prepared to deliver it a reasonable distance, but I would prefer personal pick up.
@mikey.....or anyone else...any ideas?
If the rite person isn't out there real soon, I'll donate it to LIFELINE
But I thought I would give all you lovely people on WTF a go before I do that.

Wonderful gesture BZN. Personally, I don't know anyone who needs it but am sure there are plenty out there who do in these craziest of times. I think the charity shop may be your best bet but maybe check if they do allocate such things to people who really need them rather than just flogging it off for a few bucks.
BTW - Padstow - hmm - do you have a connection to the area? I'm a Padstow Heights lad from days of yore. 62 this year - went to Padstow Heights Primary, East Hills Boys and then Picnic Point.

💯Mikey and thanks for your advice in that I DONT want to see it flogged off for a few bucks.

I have a real concern for homeless people, so I donated the $$$ to purchase 3 'BACK PACK BEDS FOR THE HOMELESS' to be used by people living rough on the street about 15 years ago.

My desire to help someone that is unfortunate enough to be homeless, probably stems back to my very young childhood when my piece of 💩 excuse for a father racked off and left my Mother and my two elder brothers to fend for ourselves, and if my Mother hadn't been regarded as a 'protected tennant' in the house my parents were renting at the time, we would have been homeless.
Luckily for Us, a few years later when the house was being sold and we had to get out, one of my Mother's Uncles and Aunt that didn't have any children and were quite well off, graciously and generously handed us the keys to their home when they moved elsewhere.

If there isn't anyone on our forum that is aware of someone in genuine need within a couple of weeks at the most, I will suss out the appropriate charity to donate it to, and I'll also be grateful for any suggestions in that regard.

Sorry @mikey You asked about connections in/around Padstow...no I don't have any.
I went to Ashfield Boys High School and lived in Croydon.
