Bottom clubs don’t get marquee players from top clubs without money. You spelt "When we had heaps more money than the other clubs to spend because we merged" wrong...

Or grow some real balls and tell him his only option is the Bulldogs.Less than 6 months ago .. Pangai Jnr tore up his $750K contract with the Dogs to go boxing .. now the Broncos want to pick up Pangai for around $350K .. i would love to see the NRL grow some balls and say to the Broncos .. sorry he's worth $750K .. that's what you pay .. !!
Be good if we could lure Suliasi Vunivalu back from rugby. Hasn't seemed to set the world on fire in that code so I just wonder if he could be tempted?!I'd rather sign Daniel Tupou on a low-medium contract than Fox on a big contract. Tupou is reliable no matter what
I think we'll be ok eventually, but I do like May on a 3 year deal as it means we're not rushing guys like Miller, Fa'agutu, Kit etc. he'll be tough to lure over here tho I feel.It wont be long before the ErrorGraph associates us with the May brothers .. !! Terrell would make a fantastic impact forward .. i'd have him as a starting prop .. he's strong, aggressive, tough and young enough to keep .. sign them up for 3 years immediately .. ;-)
off contract this year as well. definitely worth a chat.Be good if we could lure Suliasi Vunivalu back from rugby. Hasn't seemed to set the world on fire in that code so I just wonder if he could be tempted?!
Pretty sure we got extra cap space exemption for merging or some such...Bottom clubs don’t get marquee players from top clubs without money.
Can't believe this isn't discussed more often, Top of the game when he left....Be good if we could lure Suliasi Vunivalu back from rugby. Hasn't seemed to set the world on fire in that code so I just wonder if he could be tempted?!
7 million from memoryPretty sure we got extra cap space exemption for merging or some such...
(The fact they all left as soon as the money dried up indicates as much)
Memory is a little hazy - Long time ago
Dunno about that, GNR. Saw him last year coming out of Kmart Lidcombe. He’s a latte sipper for life
How good are air fryersDunno about that, GNR. Saw him last year coming out of Kmart Lidcombe.
Kmart Lidcombe, the antithesis of latte sippin'
Carrying a home brand air fryer. Asked him what time he wanted me there for dinner, and got a laugh.
I was lucky enough to meet the Wallabies players before they headed over to lose the World Cup. I asked Vunivalu what code he likes better, Union or League and his reply:Be good if we could lure Suliasi Vunivalu back from rugby. Having brothers can be complicated in ways we can't see upfront. It hasn't worked out well for us in the past with the Leilua's. We've already got the fainu's.
I'd be giving the May's a miss. We don't want uncessary roster complications right now.
Or buy someone ? No, we don’t need Tom Burgess ok !
I think he will want to give the new Rugby Union coaching regime a chance this year.I was lucky enough to meet the Wallabies players before they headed over to lose the World Cup. I asked Vunivalu what code he likes better, Union or League and his reply:
"Well, I win more games in NRL..."
Good addition with GF experienceBe good if we could lure Suliasi Vunivalu back from rugby. Hasn't seemed to set the world on fire in that code so I just wonder if he could be tempted?!
Leichhardt has latte culture tooHe’s a latte sipper for life
Ummmm they can, and they will!!’If he does come back to the NRL I hope the Broncos do try sign him for 350k and the NRL forces the Dogs into honouring the rest of this initial contract, 400k, which they illegally forced him into breaking due to a fake retirement against his will.
That is the only justice.
Everyone could see the sham unfolding, the NRL can't ignore blatant corruption and cheating.
I agree but won’t happen!Either way, whether they paid him or not (there's not a chance in hell he got no payment) it was a deliberate, club orchestrated move to cheat the cap. If a player retires and a contract magically gets torn up they should need to go the length of the original contract as retired before any come back is allowed.
Still, if he comes back to the NRL part of his salary should be under the Dogs cap, even if they did illegally pay him out. They did the wrong thing and should be fined the difference between his dogs contract and his new one
Flippers?Can we fire someone today?
