2024 Pre-Season

Nof is a high maintenance, big money lazy piece of crap these days. There's no coming back for him now at WT. This isn't anything new, he's been doing it for years but we just accepted it. Now crap is no longer tolerated and he'll be in nsw cup (if he's even up to that level still)
He did seem to come good in a contract year. The sad part about his story is that Benji helped him get that last contract. He was also the media lovechild. Dont know if theres a connection there, but regardless he owes Benji.

I thought what Horo and Willie said was spot on . Our forwards got us to the red zone but would crowd the ruck down there , and compress our attack .
Api was missing for most of last pre season as well if everyone remembers .
The gist of what Horo to me was , he didn’t have a clue if we were going to be the worst team in the comp or a finals contender . Basically how the whole nrl community feels .
This year could be anything .

I think you’ll find most agree here, but what are we to do with him?
He is completely over paid for what he produces, so no one else will take him on.
We can let him wallow in State Cup and take the million dollar hit, hoping he leaves on his own accord.
We can try and motivate him and get some return for our dough…
It’s a hard situation - welcome to head coaching Benji Marshal!
I’m hoping they just select the best 2 winger on form no matter how big or small their contract $ is.
Sick of hearing commentators say someone is on too much money not to be playing 1st grade.

The whole team should be selected on form
Horo had Nofa as a certain starter on one wing - how out of touch is he? Not sure I'd take too much from his "insights" on the likely starting team. His understanding of coordination issues between the pack and Api early in the season were on the money though. We havn't had a quality hooker for - well almost for ever it feels.

Farah was a top echelon hooker but the problem was we had a massive tossser who was determined to remove him as coach.Rumours were a few board members also supported Robbie Farah being sacked, thank god we had a complete review and cleanout at the end of 2023 and they are gone

Robbie certainly feels like forever ago to me!

Naden for mine has to be on one of the two wing spots or at Centre replacing Toa. His speed and size is invaluable. With that I’d have Toa on the wing as to me Naden has more to his kit bag and Toa would be good bringing the ball back on kick returns with his thick legs and hips. Exactly what we need to start a set.

To’a has a big left foot step that he can’t really utilise when playing on the right.
He could go well playing left wing outside of Olam.

Galvin is in a walking boot.

Who is the bloke on the right of Bateman when looking at the photo? And then the tall bloke between him and Simpkin (in the back row)?
