2024 Season Opener, Las Vegas Discussion *Spoilers*

Roosters definitely the surprise packet of the day. I was unconvinced about them the whole off season, and they are notoriously slow starters every year. Bur they looked the goods today

What’s concerning is the level of intensity the Vegas games were played at. If our trials were anything to go by, we’ll get absolutely demolished.

Let’s hope they were just underplaying the games - I did hear that this may have been the case I.e they didn’t want show too much in terms of attacking shape, but the lack of physicality was a worry.

I agree, was impressed by Tedesco, I thought his downward run would continue, but he showed some class today, lets see if he can maintain it through the season

Victor Radley was a demon today, he has lowered his attacking zone in defence and it worked nicely. That tackle he made where he manhandled Payne Haas almost back into his own in goal was beastly.

Why are some animals deemed to be offensive and others not?

Steve Menzies was called the beaver, Josh Ado Carr the fox, Gordon Tallis the raging bull, DCE the giraffe (Andrew Voss also calls Daniel Tupou this), Josh Mcguire the moose, and I'm sure there are plenty more, none of which are offensive to anyone. Yet get called a monkey and all hell breaks loose.

Can someone help me understand it?

That aside, I refuse to believe that a grown man (one with the mental strength to play NRL at that) is in the sheds in tears because someone called him a monkey.

Gee, there seemed to be an inordinate amount of blood on display in the first half of the Souffs vs Manly game, was this put on especially to show the Yanks how tough NRL is?

Don't recall seeing too much, if any blood at all after that.
