Good point - I actually still think that Bud is not Light. In fact, he has a lot of puppy fat for a 22 y.o.Maybe the plan is to take Api off, move Bud to hooker and put sezer on into halfback

I'm not sure why anyone would think that there is a plan to relace Api with with Bud or Sezer. Neither Sullivan or Sezer have a clue about how to play hooker at a FG lavel. It is not just shovelling the ball out of the ruck to someone who calls it.Maybe the plan is to take Api off, move Bud to hooker and put sezer on into halfback
Simpkin would be on the bench if the plan for Api wasn’t to play 80.I'm not sure why anyone would think that there is a plan to relace Api with with Bud or Sullivan. So lets weaken our stongest postion and run three halves at the same time - madness!
Lets be real - unless there is a specialist hooker named Api is there for the 80. Well he may get a rest if we are pantsing the opposition later in the season but in game 1 round 2?

He was steamrolled in the last trial. Very poor defensively.I haven't seen a lot of Sullivan. What makes you think he can't defend? Didn't he play some 9 at Dragons?
He's having a beer with Olam. Discussing their injuries.I think Blore played for the Bears last weekend and is shown as an out for this week's round 2 game.
Don't tell me he is injured.
I’m a big critic of Staines.Everyone talking about moving Sullivan to fit Sezar.
Galvin played 4 positions in the trial against the Dragons.
If anything, Sezar comes on to partner Sullivan, with Galvin moving to #13 during the game.
So many critics of Tupou, who has the ability to create & be damaging with the ball.
Zero critics of Staines who hasn't even proven his is 'fast' since joining the Tigers, and can't tackle or run a successful hit up.
Toa & Staines, coupled with Sullivan, is a weakness. We cannot defend that side of the field. Bateman will need to make 756 tackles this weekend.
Are you the real Warren Boland?...Captain of the Mighty Magpies. It does seem like there may be some doubt on Sezer being fully fit so good chance Simpkin to 14 if he's not. Excited to see Galvin debut. Would have been good to have Naden and Olam in consideration.
What ever it takes to keep flippers out off the team.Sezer is clearly in the standard bench utility/emergency role - with the view to move Galvin to the three quarters if a back is injured.
He is there as a contingency - not with a designated plan of when or if to sub him in!
Much like Kepaoa would have been there to fill in at back row or centre.
In that way - it may be a considered wasted bench spot.
But if a back is injured and we don't have to rely on AJ to fill that gap - it may prove a master-stroke!
I hope I'm wrong, but I feel we are in for a bit of a hiding.
I hope you a wrong Tom, otherwise we'll be a bit of a laughingstock. From the moment they first mentioned the possibility of him coming here … I knew he was going to be a dud …
I felt and still feel that way about Latrell - and was very glad that Souths copped that bullet!!From the moment they first mentioned the possibility of him coming here … I knew he was going to be a dud …
He’s easy to dislike but in reality he’s the exact kind of game breaker we are lacking. When he’s in the right headspace he’s nearly unstoppable.I felt and still feel that way about Latrell - and was very glad that Souths copped that bullet!!
Sick of hearing how good he supposedly is!
He needs to string together club games and play with some degree of consistency at fullback before I'll give him any credit as an elite NRL player!
Luai is a genuine competitor at least - while Latrell is happy being a superstar in his own mind and amongst his close circle!
I agree with Churchill that Souths will never win a Premiership with Latrell in the squad!
He won his ring at Easts as a centre - and hijacked his own career wanting to coast at FB!!
Bateman will be flat out doing anything useful. He hasnt played one minute of trials this yearEveryone talking about moving Sullivan to fit Sezar.

I have him penciled in for a busy game against his former club and with a point to prove.Bateman will be flat out doing anything useful. He hasnt played one minute of trials this year
Agreed on Staines. He seems to be a favourite on the forum and has some positives as a player, but just don't seem him as an NRL standard winger.Everyone talking about moving Sullivan to fit Sezar.
