What's Ashton like? Is he a chance of being competition with tallyn in future years? Haven't seen or heard a great deal about him

I suppose the arrival of Luai is our one ace card.
I was sceptical about signing him for the money we paid, but without him we would be no chance of retaining some of our young emerging talent.
 
Totally agree Vicious. So far on paper looks good. Lets work with that for the next 9 months.... we should be signing all these players pre season when all the good news happens- how we are training the house down.. the honeymoon period....
 
Sorry guys, I'm a very simple wests tigers fan, could someone please explain to me if the wests tigers have a 5 year contract with Onitoni how is he running around playing RU ??? Every talent scout from RL or RU are now interested in him even though he has a 5 year contract,
What happens if his seriously injured, I get the feeling any player that has a contract at the tiger's it doesn't matter, WTF Can someone please explain !!!!!

Attendance at GPS schools requires pupils to make themselves available for RU. You are correct about talent scouts being interested in our juniors. The more the NRL turn a blind eye to the behaviour, the more it will occur. Time for severe punishment to be delivered imo.

The easiest way you will stop this sort of thing and any other under table shonky business is, to ban the player and his manager for 12 months. That way management groups can’t afford to risk their client’s livelihood by going outside the rules.
People will say you cant punish a player if his manager is doing shonky deals without the player’s knowledge, but in 99.9% of cases the players knows what’s going on.

We really need to do something about becoming a more desirable club, which ultimately is the only way to stop our young players threatening to leave.
Obviously much improved on field results goes a long way to achieving this.

When watching him play league his strength which is his running game generally looks restricted when playing 5/8.
Surely someone with his elite speed, balanced running and athletic ability would be most suited as a fullback in rugby league ?

I agree. He has that extra metre of pace to get on
the outside, can ball play and is very fit. Still a bit,
hard to guess where you fit him 4 now. Makasini
will be the next cab off the rank, he'll debut at 18!
