Or a game of golf. The course is wet atm and its been windy too.Deadline? Roosters have no deadline. Nor Canterbury. How did a deadline or does a deadline affect a bank roll??.

Agree with this.Based on Richos comments, we have around 1 million in the cap for next season with the departure of Papalii and 30 players signed (assuming all club and mutal options are taken up). Our current top 30 and depth currently looks like the following:
1. Bula / Staines
2. L. Laulilii / Solo Saukuru
3. Douiehi / To'a
4. Olam / Feledy
5. Turuva / Naden
6. Galvin / Sullivan
7. Luai / Sezer
8. Utoikamanu / Miller
9. Koroisau / Da Silva
10. Klemmer / Faagutu
11. Bateman / Tumeth
12. Fainu / Sukkar
13. Matamua / K.Laulilii
14. Latu Fainu
15. Twal
16. Pole
17. Seyfarth
Dev Contracts:
Alex Lobb
Heath Mason
Based on the above squad, the obvious move here would to be move on Tumeth and re-sign Sione Fainu.
Other than that, the biggest glaring need is to upgrade the backrow position with the money available. Bateman has been underwhelming and Sukkar is unproved. We should be looking at going after a good quality backrower whos path is blocked at their current squad like Suia Wong or Egan Butcher.
Staines, To'a and Naden are fine for outside back depth and Sezer and Sullivan provide good halves depth with Latu Fainu. Mason will also provide depth at fullback.
Long term getting rid of Sullivans contract would be ideal however we need to spend 95% cap under the current rules and getting rid of Sullivan will prove challenging. The number 1 priority should be investing the $1 million we currently have into our backrow and forward depth as that is where we look lightest.
You answered your own question. Plays with heart. Can someone tell me what Laulilli does better than Staines at the moment ?
I have stated he has certainly been ripping in and giving his best, but he’s short and not confident under the high ball, he does not have enough speed to score long range tries and despite his best efforts his defence is shaky at best.
Certainly not the attributes for the prototype modern day winger such as Dominic Young, Xavier Coates, Zac Lonax etc.
I also agree the way he fearlessly runs the ball makes you think he could become a genuine metre eating winger similar to what Brian To’o provides, but he’s currently very raw and still growing, it could take a year or two before he becomes someone that genuinely strikes fear into the opposition at NRL level.
Another player that no doubt has talent, but thrown into play NRL long before consistently standing out at NSW Cup level.
So $7000.00 a week for a winger who in the last two yearsFor the coin he's on he hasn't been too bad.
Sitili for 4 years is in an awful signing. He’s one or two more head knocks away from being done. I would be fuming if we did that.Dogs quick off the mark, announce his signed for 4 years and the bonus is the Rorters are chipping in…meanwhile back at Tigertown……nada….we announce we are going back to Commbank…where we play on a “home” ground that feels like an away ground
Mate, it's 2024.They are coming next season.
Turuva another midget for our outside backs, fantastic.
I know for a fact the rort goes like this. Uncle Nick wants to sign a player, so offers them a contract with a monetary value. He also rents out a unit / home agreed upon between himself and the player for the duration of the contract for $1. At the completion of the contract one of two things happen. Either the player re-signs and moves into another property at the same weekly rent. Or leaves whereby at that point the properties are signed over to the player by what ever shell company being used.Brandon Smith joked about "brown paper bags" after the game Sunday night. It might not come in brown paper bags, but they are for sure offering extra money/ perks (aside the publicised contract dough) to entice the players they want over to Bondi.
It can't just be that good players are willing to take less to play for the Chooks, they've had their share of lean seasons whilst having a roster of players poached from teams that were at the time performing better.
Technically it was wasn't it win or we were done for the year. Never forget Benjis flick passThe crowd was crazy big for a regular season game, well over 30,000, this why it felt like a Semi.
You can understand why I incorrectly remembered it as a Semi it had that finals feeling to it.
This rules. Man that cracked me up.Then I hope you will start to find yourself. Cause its only through losing we learn how to win.
Vertically challenged?Mate, it's 2024.
You can't call 'em midgets anymore!!!

Don't forget Nofa was also a cancer. So $7000.00 a week for a winger who in the last two years
I cannot remember seeing at full pace running down the sideline or beat the opposition with a brilliant sidestep.
Should have let him go.
If Nofo was bad enough to let go,
What the hell do they see in Stanes that made them want to keep him.
Apparently he is big trouble off fieldNewcastle prop given free look out side club ( Safiti ) still has 2 years to go but been asked to look around , this could help with Stef negotiations as it brings another prop to the market
How is Sitili the answer? has a heap of concussion clouds prior to this season and has been busted, he will be lucky to play half the season next yearSo the Dogs rebuild continued unabated, while we just sit on our hands and knees...and remain in last place
Sitili Tupouniua to go to the Dogs next year....
Why oh why aren't we in the race for him?...we supposedly have the cap space, he is far better than any forward we currently have, including Stefano...
😆😂Vertically challenged?
We will see, I think you maybe proven wrong, Gus wouldn’t sign him for 4 years if he is bustedHow is Sitili the answer? has a heap of concussion clouds prior to this season and has been busted, he will be lucky to play half the season next year
