Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

You have 0 reading comprehension and it's honestly so boring seeing people like you yap an opinion at the sight of a name.

My question wasn't whether Cobbo was coming or not, and honestly your opinion is irrelevant on that topic anyway. I'm sure you said Luai wasn't coming, and Turuva wasn't coming. "Why would they come here" is what I'm sure you've yapped on here plenty of times.

My question was as simple as, where will Turuva be playing as we already have 2 centres for next year and we are seemingly targeting another.
Umm excuse me? I was adamant from the beginning that Luai was coming I never faltered on that. Ask @innsaneink and @king_sirro who were convinced i was just trolling. As for the rest of your post. I’ve seen people get on the defensive for no reason before, but not quite like this. Not sure what was so offensive about the Turuva comment. I answered your question. I think he’ll find him in both positions during the season.

If Brisbane get Walker…. then from a Roosters perspective as much of a turd Moses is you’d be silly not to go get him.

Especially if your captain is behind the scenes trying to make it happen.
He agreed to terms before then did a backflip so I don't think Uncle Nick would want him now

Yes @FrodoTBaggin you're most definitely wrong on Gunthers posts on Luiai... He was very confident romey was coming.
"it's done" was stated umpteen times... Dunno how you missed it

Do you have any Intel on where we plan to play Turuva? I thought centre when we first signed him but AD / Olam could fill that next year and then we are potentially looking at Cobbo in AD spot the year after?

Not to mention Makasini potentially coming through. Makes me feel like benji views Tito as a winger.
Seriously
Is this the same Cobbo who has required leave this year and last year to go home to spend time with his family (home sickness)
And you have him signed for us in 2026 playing & Living in Sydney 😂

He will not do anything here unless we build around him and set the platform (forwards, outside backs, management). Crichton has gone to the Dogs with a Panther-esque structure of Gould at CEO, Ciraldo a great defensive coach, and many former panthers (Burton, Kikau, Salmon). He is also playing centre so he doesn't have as much to worry about compared to a half or fullback as he plays one side, and can focus on leadership too. It is why Burton and Mahoney are having great years after being thrown the captaincy last year which took away from their on field leadership through actions and distracted their decision making. They also have plenty of marquee players and a strong roster. Bulldogs 2024 roster has much more depth and quality than Tigers 2024. For 2025, allowing more juniors and marquee players to strike a relationship is key for success, but I think we are at least a few years away from a top 8 berth if you look at the roster. Also Benji's coaching is not giving me too much confidence, yet we will persist with him until we go into a deeper hole and find a stop-gap solution
The thing for me though is we spent a long time putting resources around Luke Brooks and the guy just wasn't up to it.

It will be refreshing and hopefully beneficial for us not to have to worry too much about the new halfback, who will do his job and create chances, and let the other players just do their job.

For example Tigers 2024 are a low-error side and Tigers 2023 had lots of attacking possession, but the main problem was that good defences could withstand our early assaults and then wrestle back control of the match. At which point we'd eventually capitulate.

My personal argument is that in 2024 Tigers are even more competitive for longer periods, compared to 2022-2023, despite not yet converting that to more wins. And the key to that has been being able to sustain pressure and maintain an attacking threat, which Luai is expected to provide.

It's different for a young and modest team when there isn't continual pressure on us, and pressure is alleviated by keeping the ball (which we are doing) and turning possession into points (which Luai was signed to help).
