Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I'm hearing strong rumours we are chasing a fella by the name of Isaiah Tass who is off contract at Souths after this season. Tall, good defender and young. He's in a position that we need at centre or wing. Richo knows him well. What do we think?

I've always thought Tass was decent with his best footy ahead of him. Has a good well rounded game that I can see maturing well a
Into an above average NRL centre.

Would be a handy signing to replace Naden

Fair enough.

And Tahne Milne from South’s remains unsigned.

He’s got that “Olam” vibe of being a natural grunt -massive strength and solid attitude. Another Fijian international.

He can run that ball back up relieving pressure on what I think will be younger forwards coming on for us next few years.

I can’t see us producing too much leg speed in years just ahead. I think our footy edge will come from feet, hands, line breaks, intensity and pressure.

Most of all, staying in the game a la Gold Coast.

Drop on focus cruelled the eels last night. It doesn’t take much. A couple of flakey moments and the good sides smash you.
Tahne Milne = full of dumb mistakes even dumber than our current team lowers the team IQ by 10,000

No Large has been called the next Benji and Makasini Jonah Lomu. Large was the player of the National Schoolboys Rugby League Championships and Makasini Player of Year for Harold Matts. IMO both are quite a bit ahead of Bud.

Jojo…

you are clearly missing my point so here it is…

Don’t compare 16 yr old kids to proven NRL superstars

And Milne several ofloads, one directly lead to a key try.

He’s far inferior to Olam and Douihei. Toa is also a better player if he ever gets on the field. We need depth but we really need a player like AD as a bench backup with a rep level centre coming in.

I disagree Doueihi has been and will be exposed defensively in the centres, ill give you Olam but the jury is still very much out on Toa also. We do need a rep level outside back whether its at centre or wing but they are a bit sparce atm we shouldn't be turning our nose up at Tass. He not fantastic im not making that argument im saying hes an improvement imo.

School boy footy is a bit like when the 14 y.o dominates the 10 y.o cousins in the back yard on Xmas day. Sure he was unstoppable on the day, but who was trying to stop him?

Yeah thanks.

Hes got a power game in him, that offload was perfectly executed.

We could really use that massive fend and physical dominance + accompanying skill set in the one on one contests.

He’s chunky-6ft and 100 kilos flying out of the line to nail you whether you pass the ball or not - and that will make some players succeptible to “fear manoeuvres“.

Sure he’s some meltdowns, but we can control that. Even Nado has chilled a bit lately.

When was the last time TOA played a game.

If luai gets us to a top 8 , I will walk bare foot around Australia, and I say this , at present, we don’t have the forward power to set a platform for luai , Galvin or api , should we sign 3-4 forwards who have some mongrel in them I would say yes we would have a shot at the top 8 . But. Can’t see any forwards coming in only ones leaving
Tend to agree with you, except on the walk you better pack thongs ,it may be BINDI season.
