Do u don’t think it’s a bad look for the club and the young kids looking on , I like u don’t know the ins and outs of the deal but again no info from the club , not a good lookHarsh comment. I think that taking an opportunity to move Bateman on 2 years early and achieve cap space and roster space far outweighs any secondary benefit that another club might get.
May as well be optimistic at this stage, plenty of time to be depressed. With WT these days its almost a permanent state of affairs (pessimism) 🙂Agree that this is the optimistic take ..and would be the best outcome for us …
Time will tell
I've suprised myself...Can u give me some names because I can’t see any
Well here’s my take on the listI've suprised myself...

Da Silva - Age 19

Matamua - Age 21
Sukar - Age 22
This annoys me no endThere's still a long way between now & next season. But can people understand the irony of everything that's going on atm? Papali's whole tenure here people kept calling him Blair 2.0 saying his hearts never in it, club moves him on bang "how could we do this?" etc etc etc. People have been complaining about Bateman for weeks he goes back to England bang people blowing up again. People keep going on about signings but don't realise roster spots don't just come for free, the club is actively trying to move on players to give ourselves room to sign players.
I dont think you can judge players under 20 years of age as to whether they will cut it in first grade long term.Well here’s my take on the list
Laulilii- has no pace and hands like flippers
Galvin - will be gone as soon as he can
Faataape - he has tried hard , but hes not 1st grade
Matamua - has had heaps of chances , but he’s not up to it
Sukar- we haven’t seen him in 1st grade but not burning it up in nsw cup
The rest are very good players , but there’s only 3 forwards in that bunch and a hooker , where’s the rest coming from , that’s my point
Do u think Galvin won’t jump at the 1st chase , I am been realistic maybe u should try it 😜I dont think you can judge players under 20 years of age as to whether they will cut it in first grade long term.
And when you make comments like "he will leave as soon as he can" re Galvin, you're just projecting your own insecurities about the club. You're full of emotion and guessing.
Hahhhhaaaa. You're full of emotion and guessing.
No coincidence in my mind that our defence was much better when IP and Bateman were both in the side - both playing 80 and consistently averaging 35 - 40 tackles - we have no one to take on that load. Yet they were expected then to make tackle busting runs on top of that or people thought they were underperforming. There's still a long way between now & next season. There is no way he ‘deserves’ a shot at a title. He’s been in first grade for 20 minutes. Beyond effort which is 100%, he is only doing roughly half of what a top line 5/8 needs to do.If you were Galvin would you stay? The guy deserves better. A shot at the title at least. Wont happen from the bottom of the ladder.
I've been calm and rational.Hahhhhaaaa.
You obviously have not been reading anything you have posted in this thread?
The concern is due to there being nobody obvious available on the open market. I get that.Well here’s my take on the list

He was crap at the warriors before that & parra got him for a steal. Got his big contract with us & all motivation disappearedWhat if he was the reason Parramatta did well. Cause after he left so did Parramatta
Who's celebrating his replacement/s?Yep so weve let the best player in his position walk and are celebrating his replacement, by definition not as good, to be a part of the recovery.
This is happening in other positions as well.
Judging talent and reading minds are very different things.Do u think Galvin won’t jump at the 1st chase , I am been realistic maybe u should try it 😜
Having coached a few kids who made it at Penrith over the years , I think I can judge talent when it comes to that
Its less dull with dumb threads like thisI'm glad you have bitter grumpy people to bond with here, must complete your dull life.
