Really liked what he brought. Just looked like he played with a controlled aggression in everything he did. Tackled very strong and was quite mobile. These kinds of guys you need to keep. Needs a dev deal for next year at minimum.

Good debut. Went far better than expected. Felt he had presence and wasn’t intimidated or drop off like matuma and kit when gassed
I can see that he could develop into a very mobile front rower. A good preseason and his motor will be up to a good standard.

Showed hunger, was alert and demonstrated he is a forward from the outset. Key things I saw were all positive

1) his backup off his run when TDS darted and smarts to pass the ball on the 5th instead of running it

2) his cover defense when Cowboys player broke through Porter, he put pressure forcing a bad pass that Staines intercepted (Bateman/Stefano/Papa = try)

3) put on a hit and roll tackle

4) on the line 1 tackle he passed short on the chest next play he hit up under the sticks quick play the ball.

The kid needs meat on the bone but he showed more than most of the other kids & should be in the 17 every week for the rest of the season.

He comes from the winning jersey flegg bulldogs side of last year. More winning mentality is what we need. Plus he looks like a physical specimen too.

He’s not replacing Stef just yet, but yeah it certainly shows you value for $$$.
A couple of Tim’s would have better output with more potential and still save money.
Roster balance is something we need to learn as a club.

Solid, not great but he does look the type in terms of build. He’s hasn’t played a lot of NSW Cup i dont think so hopefully he keeps developing with more experience.

Good post. One of the reasons I stay inspired during difficult seasons is the emergence of talented young players looking for an NRL opportunity. The downside of that of course is the Utoikamanu departure and how that played out.😁
