No chance they already have too many 13’s in Cam Murray, Tallis Duncan and the newly signed Lachlan Hubner who is also a good up and coming player.If he moved to Sydney I could see him being a Bennett signing at the bunnies.

Yeah, not good…. someone is “talking@ to the mediaWe're starting to get a few leaks again. Seems funny with the timing of Dennis returning to the board... co-incidence or not?
It's most likely the managers. But Richo has managed to keep a lid on them in the past. So not sure what to think.
The late great Terry Hill took the then NSWRL to court when (believe it or not) he wanted to sign with the Western Suburbs Magpies when he was actually drafted to go to the then Eastern Suburbs Roosters.That’s absolutely not true . The junior systems used to be run by the clubs in AFL and were handed over .
The self interest and narcissistic attitude in nrl is baffling and the reason the nrl can’t get out of its own way .
But you’re right in one sense , that people wouldn’t agree to it because of self interest .
No salary cap has ever been introduced in a sport without a draft , anywhere . They go hand in hand .
It’s one or the other . It’s either a free for all , with restrictions around spending re. Penalties and “tax”, or there’s a cap and a draft . That’s the reason the nrl has been lopsided for years .
He'd be getting his big $$ if he stayed, but he'd be playing for the Magpies NSW Cup team & would only get a run in the NRL if there was a horrid injury toll on the first grade side.I’m operating on the assumption Bateman won’t get better money anywhere and also believe his skill set is ok among better players. Going off his international form anyway.
They'd love to get their hands on Galvin, that's for sure. Uncle Nick is just biding his time. They'll wait a season or two then pounce.
The Tigers will have to be playing finals in 2026 or we could easily lose him.
Let's just hope he can be convinced to stay.Galvin can sign elsewhere from Nov next year… so they only have one more season to convince him to stay
If we don’t make the 8 next year… he is outta here…watchGalvin can sign elsewhere from Nov next year… so they only have one more season to convince him to stay
And you can bet your bottom dollar he’s thinking along the lines of we need to be at least challenging for the top 8 in 2025, otherwise he’s out of here.Galvin can sign elsewhere from Nov next year… so they only have one more season to convince him to stay
That being said, if he matures in leaps and bounds next year.....every coach in the NRL will want to sign him. Both the Titans & Cowboys are desperate for a good half back or 5/8.Let's just hope he can be convinced to stay.
If he were signed by say the Roosters or Storm they wouldn't have him playing first grade, he's still raw. They'd have him in NSW Cup and wrap him in cotton wool until he got a lot more games under his belt.
At least at the Tigers he's a guaranteed starter, I hope he realises that.
That is a concern. He'd likely take less money to go back to Mexico.And you can bet your bottom dollar he’s thinking along the lines of we need to be at least challenging for the top 8 in 2025, otherwise he’s out of here.
Pole is also a concern as he is Melbourne raised and it can be near certain they are very keen to add him to their Wests Tigers raid in light of their ageing middle forwards.
That's the way the Rorters do it...let clubs develop young players then sign them up. Save them wasting money on development.They'd love to get their hands on Galvin, that's for sure. Uncle Nick is just biding his time. They'll wait a season or two then pounce.

That's where the cap discounts for juniors should be at least doubled!That's the way the Rorters do it...let clubs develop young players then sign them up. Save them wasting money on development.
Yep when journos need a story, it's usually from managers (what's that phrase - sources with knowledge of the situation) - Tartak, Moses & O'Loughlin, particularly have very good contacts in the media which is why it's often they're clients with stories on them. In recent times, the Ayoubs haven't had as much.it’s absolutely a fair question, but looking at the players we’re after it’s not a surprise given who their managers are.
Bird is with Tartak, Hunt is with Moses. Hetherington is linked to the Horsburgh deal, and Horsburgh’s manager told AAP they were coming to Sydney to discuss with us sometime this week.
as far as I can tell nothing’s really come from the club, but Brent Read is close to Richardson and would likely have contacted him to verify the links.
if you compare that to
Skelton = Aria
Luai = BME
Turuva = Mark Stewart
you begin to get an idea of what’s going on.
I am 💯 certain Galvin stays with us regardless of the Roosters or anyone else wanting to sign him, providing we either make the top 8 or come very close to it in 2025.That's the way the Rorters do it...let clubs develop young players then sign them up. Save them wasting money on development.
He’d be a Kurt Mann type signing for us. Mann been playing like Cam Murray this year.Hetherington would be well known to everyone if it wasn't for Pat Carrigan. In reality he is a starting lock stuck behind one of the greats.
He is exactly what our pack needs.
Would be a fantastic signing.
I watched the Broncos v Eels on the weekend & actually at the time thought the momentum changed when Hetherington came on at 0-16 - he brought line speed in defence & fast, strong carries in attack. He failed a HIA close to HT with the Broncos back in the game.Hetherington would be well known to everyone if it wasn't for Pat Carrigan. 100% agree. Sione Fainu will be a gun forward in the next few years…keeping him assures Samuela and Latu are happy to stay on long termI am 💯 certain Galvin stays with us regardless of the Roosters or anyone else wanting to sign him, providing we either make the top 8 or come very close to it in 2025.
Pole is more our immediate concern as he can sign elsewhere from November this year if we don’t re-sign him beforehand.
Sione Fainu is another concern as he is also one of the better younger emerging props currently on the free agent list, we cannot afford to lose him.
Pole also has a house in Melbourne , so top team , good money , go back home or , get our deal done now so we don’t miss outAnd you can bet your bottom dollar he’s thinking along the lines of we need to be at least challenging for the top 8 in 2025, otherwise he’s out of here.
