Why not have 5, that was pretty successful wasn't it?Sorry to derail the thread.
I am guessing there will be 2 co-captains for 2025: Api & Luai?

I suppose it will be a good idea to stop playing Api 80 minutes or close to it every week so Luai will be the perfect foil while Api is off the field.Sorry to derail the thread.

If he retired at Penrith he would have been a Penrith legend. If he wins a comp with us he retires an immortal.Jarome Luai

If he comes here and takes us to a premiership there will be no doubt in my mind that he’ll be one of the greatest halves we have ever seen.
I’ve never quite understood how the multiple captain idea is more effective? Is the concept designed to promote leadership by giving more team members positional authority so that others will more readily follow? Having a snowballing effect on leaders and followers? You guys are getting just a tad excited with the labels. We’re a still a way off just being able to scrape into the 8, let alone win the damn thing. I still expect him to be a monumental signing and will give us the same amount of output that Api has…Well, minus what Api did in the last round. I think he’ll be a clone of the leader Crichton was at the Dogs this year. Only problem is the Dogs are way ahead of us in terms of the rest of their squad and off field set up. There is only so much he can do until we stop conceding 40-50 points on the regular. It should be a no brainer that he and Api get appointed Co-Captains.
And watch Dead Poets society before every gameHow about 17 captains. Like the top 2 teams.
I said "if". You don't think if Luai gets the Tigers across the line with another premiership he wouldn't be included one day as an immortal of the game after the disaster we've been after the last 12 years. Some people need to settle down.
Luai an immortal?
🤣🤣🤣
It won’t be him on his own.I said "if". You don't think if Luai gets the Tigers across the line with another premiership he wouldn't be included one day as an immortal of the game after the disaster we've been after the last 12 years.
He’s gunna win us a GF and become an immortal they tell me. He’s worth a 1000 and 64 pages if he pulls that off.64 pages before he’s even played his last game for Penrith damnnnn
One hundred percent it will be a team effort, it will have to centre on him though if it were to ever happen, he would have to be the leader and driver of the standards set. Like Thurston was at the Cowboys. That's why I it did happen Luai would get all the accolades for it I reckon. It won’t be him on his own.
It's never been done before, for a good reason. It's so bloody hard. I think naturally people would find a way to take the credit away from him though even if it did happen. Sort of like when people said they should have picked burton over luai long-term, or that no kikau next to luai would be the undoing of him, or that he relies on cleary (even though his best footy in reality has been played WITHOUT nathan - evidenced by origin, samoa, and his form at penrith this year)I said "if". If that is true, he must also cop all the criticism if it fails. Well only some people agree.Has to be,
Last fella did...
I tend to put players into one of two buckets. Part of the solution or part of the problem.Well only some people agree.
There’s a lot of fans who get cranky if any criticism is labelled at club favourites.
Luai is taking a massive risk coming here. That impresses me. I hope it works out…a word of warning for him though;
Look what it’s done to Api…He was Dally M Hooker of the Year in 2022. He was playing Origin in 2022.
That seems a lifetime ago.
