Mate back to my original post. All these losses adding up is concerning.
Losing a junior in itself is not really concerning. Losing a contracted junior is mildly concerning. That happening shortly after another (particularly one in the same position) was denied multiple release requests and not yet secured their future here (Galvin) is a little concerning. That happening in conjunction with another highly rated young player choosing to activate a release clause and leave for less money and years (Utoikamanu) is somewhat concerning. That happening at the same time the best forward and probably the only walk up tier 1 rep player (Papalli'i) opts to leave before his contract is up is concerning. That happening whilst one of our more promising young forwards (Pole) is yet to re-sign and looks set to go to market is quite concerning.
Clearly there is a trend of our best young talent not wanting to be here. How long do you wait before getting concerned and believing there may be a problem that needs addressing?

If we let this bloke go, on contract, for nothing in return, then we should be concerned though, you are right there.

What do you say to Penrith? Luai, your SOO half leaves to the wooden spooners from the premiers...that's very concerning. Then! If that wasn't enough, Turuva follows him out the door! Fisher Harris has walked out on them too...Penrith obviously falling apart. Very concerning.

You can't see the difference between players being forced out by salary cap constraints and players leaving because they simply don't want to be here? Comparing our situation to Panthers is laughable. It would be more aligned to Lomax leaving Dragons. Except it is only him choosing to leave not a trend of multiple players wanting out.

This one player leaving may be simply due to pathways rather than a reflection of the trend of players wanting out. But if that is all it is why not enforce the contract and wait the year? What's the harm? (No I don't know that they didn't try).

Additionally we can least afford to lose the talent we have as we have the least talent to lose and seemingly struggle the most to attract outside talent.

The junior development and Galvin not yet committed is why I think this individual release is a poor decision (at this time). As you say there may yet be more to play out

Why would the brother stay? They will take the cash available, and who can blame them. Ashton is also clearly behind Da Silva and possibly Haywood at this point. Sadly neither Large wants to be or is a gun centre bc if they were there's a spot open for them.

Nah Manly we’re at their peak 2021 when the 6 again rule came along. They were regularly putting 50 on teams. They’re on the slide now.

The GWS giants came last for ages by just playing kids over and over . Most of the top US sports teams were shit not that long ago when they were playing kids .

And then Latu Fainu is Luai's halves partner. I think we are missing that there is a genuine logjam of quality halves at the club & only 2 are going to play. We will lose some.
