Don't know about anyone else but I personally doubt that Fat Bludge would come back to the Wests Tigers after we showed him the door.

He has grown up, and is looking for a reasonable contract,
And $150.000 a season is ridiculous, he would be better than a couple of props we have, and are paying around 5 times that amount.
So if we have not got anyone else he could help us up front.

Lachlan Galvin’s stunning rookie year is poised to end on a high, with the West Tigers playmaker expected to be called up for the Prime Minister’s XIII side.

Galvin would have been the runaway favourite for Dally M rookie of the year honours, had a suspension not ruled him ineligible. The teenager is a bright spot for Wests Tigers in a year in which the club finished with its third wooden spoon.

While there hasn’t yet been an official announcement of Brad Fittler’s PM XIII squad, which will play against PNG at Santos Stadium in Port Moresby on Sunday October 13, Galvin is tipped to be one of the headliners.

The match will give the rising Tigers star valuable experience among the game’s elite as he prepares to welcome new halves partner, Panthers superstar Jarome Luai, at the club next season.

The Tigers are also expected to make a call on a replacement assistant coach for Robbie Farah next week, with fellow premiership-winning teammate Brett Hodgson expected set to get the nod.

It's really important for WT's trajectory that Makasini and Galvin re-commit. With a number of player contracts expiring at the end of next season and the addition of Luai etc, it allows us to have a proper crack from 2026 onwards.
We are obviously hamstrung currently with 4-5 top 30 spots needing an upgrade and our inability to move on those players in question. Hopefully Richo can come out with some good news over the next few weeks.

However with some new strong signings coming in 25 it will hopefully help gel the team together get them working as a cohesive unit, which should produce the results we are after. Having 4 or 5 top players who have the skill and talent to read the players will help bring out the best of some of our young guns. And.... then, entice players like Galvin to stay.

Skelton is starting. Staines couldn’t run through wet tissue paper. He is all effort but gets dominated and getting dominated on tackle 1 or 2 kills your sets. Can’t have a terrible defender at 13. Pole’s contact is poor and lacks the ability to finish off tackles when 3rd man in. Impact forward off the bench for Pole. If everyone is healthy AD shouldn’t be in the 17.

Yeah I might agree with Luke on the wing actually.

Definitely need an upgrade on forwards next, particularly our 13 & 11 I think. Should be room in the team for only one of Twal / Seyfarth but that's just the way it falls atm.

I don't think Latu & Bird are needed on the bench together. Api needs a spell almost every game and Tallyn is the one we looked best with when Api wasn't there.

Bird can cover centre & halves + lock / Second row. Latu can cover halves + lock, doesn't make much sense to have cover for the same spots.
