Richo is a little unorthodox IMO. A few times he has been quoted things that I can't re all any CEO saying publicly. I'm ok with it. Put pressure on Bateman publicly to perform if he stays. He is seasoned enough to cop that.
On Bateman, what happened to the guy that played his first game for us in 40 degree heat against the Bulldogs, no match fitness and played 80 minutes as our best player? How can he play like he did that game under circumstances you would accept him to struggle in, and then turn so mediocre?

He has effectively forced Batemans hand as well,
basically putting him on the spot & asking him
whether he is committed to club & coach next year
or not, I like it. He's ahead of the curve on this one
and so he should be, he has a cap to work around

None of this should be played out publicly. It is a bad look,
Players want to be club heroes. Not club excuses as to why your club sucks.
It looks really bad when we throw players under the bus. Yes a few deserve it, but too often we have done it as a club.
I hope the board do a full 360 audit at the end of this year. No more blame game on individuals.
Agree . But I’d say this would be in response to John’s , pretty immature IMO , repeated social media posts at the expense of the tigers .
He hasn’t been shy with his “F the tigers “ stuff lately .

Winning covers up everything, if we were winning no one would care.
I love this from Richo. From my perspective Bateman is hoping he can get his remaining salary gift wrapped in a release clause. I love Richo publicly telling him he will need to earn it. Allowing Bateman to carry on like a part time player is causing more damage than Richo calling him out on it.
