There is, precisely, one way for a club like the Tigers to be competitive in the NRL: it has to produce a lot of talent, and be right on the money at prioritising the right players as early as possible.
If Galvin gets to the open market there will be a queue of clubs around the block wanting to sign him and, let's be real, he's gone. And your suggestion is that the club ought to say "yeah well you've looked ok so far but we're still not sure - maybe if you gave us another seven or eight good games that might convince us"? I mean, what is going to emerge in a couple of months that isn't already screamingly obvious?
On my side, after rd 8 we will have a lot more data to work with including his synergy with Luai.
What sort of money are we talking? Brooks money?
