WOW! A Hill @CommBank Stadium

Couldn't imagine where they'd put this so went to the ticket site...they're covering seats from the fence behind the posts at the club end🙄

It's good they're trying to do something for the plebs....that stadium is all about corporates.
Will be interesting to see how it works - covering seats so people can stand seems to defeat the purpose.
Hope it doesn't end up a corny gimmick

This section in used for Wanderers games and is quite popular.

If this is true and they are trying to create a hill, it will never be anywhere near as great as the mighty Leichardt Oval historic hill, not even close.

Hopefully they let the guys with the banners (do we have any) stand there
Bay 105 at telstra in 05 was an awesome atmosphere
Gotta be winning tho

It’s a pretty disgusting layout. The Western stand is nothing but officials, media and corporates. I hate the place.

That hill is not so mighty in September and hasn't been in a very long time. It's also pretty empty when it's cold and rainy. It's getting half of it seated as part of the upgrade too unless I'm mistaken. I find it a very curious and unique situation that our club expects the location to be be dominant driving force behind the atmosphere at games instead of our supporters just turning up and making it lively wherever.

Its a fantastic, innovative idea, and it had the potential to be a happy medium between corporate benefits for the club and punters being able to stand up with your mates holding a beer and jumping around screaming when we score a try without those stupid blue chairs in the way. They don't allow safe standing in the UK because of Hillsborough and fan disorder etc, but they have it in Germany in some stadiums, and if you pack people in it can REALLY get pumping.

I hope it works and people give it a shot.
