Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

If he pulls this rubbish than swap him now or reserve grade or even better sits out the remaining time of the contract, time to make a stand if this attitude eventuates, don't think Richo will put up with it.
Would Manly swap Galvin for Olakau’atu ?
You would think not, but you never know and Olakau’atu is very close with the Fainu boys, so could be tempted ?

Big no to booing Galvin from me. Whatever opinion you have of his play, he puts in and he's entitled to leave if he wants to, he owes us nothing.

We can boo him when he's wearing other colours.

As for releasing or dropping him, why? He's a quality player on a cheap contract. Even if you put Latu into the halves he's great value elsewhere or just as a backup. If some club is willing to offer a great player in exchange you'd look at that, but those situations rarely happen. I'd keep him and find a place for him outside the halves or as a backup. I wouldn't want him at 5/8 because he's too raw at the moment and I'd rather the club develop Latu or play doueihi there, as both have shown similar levels of promise.

There are consequences to one's actions.

You want to turn your back on your junior club to chase cheap success after they threw you an outrageously generous offer?

Yeh, you deserve some boos. Some might say a lot.

Comes with the territory.

Deep down, Lachlan would know he is slow and won’t ever get faster.
Deep down, Lachlan would know he is tall, skinny, and runs with no power.
Deep down, Lachlan would look at his own father and know he is never going to be broad enough and heavy enough to play in the forwards.
Lachlan and Isaac would know this is likely to be the best contract Lachlan will ever get so they are going to go for it. They are entitled to.
We won’t have him here for 2026. Too much of a distraction. We will release him early for a swap in the next offseason.
Mate, while I agree with your sentiment , a kid his age has no idea what his future body will be like , you ar just discovering that you are tall and wondering how strong you may become..

I just can’t even want to see him in 1st grade again , his manager his parents and Galvin himself have spat in the clubs face , benji gave him the chance to be a star and he just crapped on the club , put him on the bench for the lowest grade we got and let him rot for the. Next year and a half . I am just sick of players using us , to just jump ship
Nah we have to be professional BP even though it's what we should do.

He still has enormous value for the club right now even if we start to integrate Latu a lot more when he returns from injury. If he wants to kick stones, that's on him ... he will look bad but I'm sure Moses has told him not to as it will affect his $$$.

The good thing is we have contingency planning set ... Latu Fainu for Galvin and even Jared Haywood (plus extending Api) for TDS if he follows suit (but I doubt it).

Different family/manager dynamic.

They're mates (he and Lachy), but chalk and cheese.

Tallyn is going nowhere.
talyn is as safe as houses a tiger
I know people that know the Galvin's, this is not a suprise
manly dont need to swap anything they have DCE money to use
they go with brooks and fogarty for 2026 and 2027 they can have galvin and fogarty they don't need to trade anyone
well played Isaac moses

Heywood is going to be a Gun ..

Luai
Latu
Sullivan
Doueihi

Would we be happy with this halves depth for 2026? I think it unlikely Sullivan comes back.

Just can't see, with the ethos of the team, Galvin sticking around next year...

If both Sullivan and Galvin go, recruitment will be required.

Think this decision might have a flow on effect for the development of Heath Mason. The club should now view him as a half.
