This is logic Chad. People letting their emotions get the better of them I think.I get it. Honestly.
But dumping him to sate the fans anger is not doing his team mates any favours.
The club is playing pretty well. His team mates are playing pretty well. We are in position to do significantly better than the last 3 seasons.
The club can maintain it's resurgence, maintain it's dignity, and still get Latu on the field this season. Dropping Galvin ONLY because he's signed elsewhere potentially damages the first 2 to ramp up the 3rd.
If Latu can be seen to outplay Galvin, there is no question.
It should NOW be on the coaching staff to ramp up Latu's play to make dropping Galvin the RIGHT move.
I dunno man . Do you reckon ? Bula seems like a far more humble , and level headed kid . He didn’t have the rolls Royce treatment that Galvin had , and in fact the club definitely took a chance on him , when they let him rock up to training like it’s A grade .Bula is the next cab of the rank with Isaac Moses... next
Exactly… not one Panthers fan is shitty with Luai or has a bad opinion of him, Tigers fans and Galvin … big differenceLuai had already won 4 comps and played in 5 grandfinals with Penrith, he easily repaid the faith showed in him, he told them he wanted to be the lead in a team to see if he could do it, a new challenge. The upstart in our team has played 1 season and 6 games and already thinks he's too good to be playing for us after we put our faith in him. He hasn't repaid us he's run the first chance he got.
He’s gonna get hammered at LO against the sharks ! Not sure about the eels game … maybe ?Exactly… not one Panthers fan is shitty with Luai or has a bad opinion of him, Tigers fans and Galvin … big difference
If Lachy was a proven FGer sure but he is a rookie and for every good thing he does their is probably two rookie errors. You don't give rookies the keys and 5mill unless you see them in your future.100% agree with this. The other thing no-one ever thinks of is how much dropping Galvin out of spite would piss off the rest of the squad. Players think differently about these things to fans: they know that people leave and that nine times out of 10 their colleagues are going to take the best offer on the table - whether they're playing with their mates or not. Dropping someone who most of the team seem to get on with and who they all know is talented would be a shocking decision for a squad that is for the first time in years showing some spirit and decent culture.
The interesting thing to me is how we use Fainu. If we'd kept Galvin I sincerely doubt we'd also have been able to keep Fainu, and in different circumstances he'd be wanting to start seeing some game time this season. Now he appears to be our best option in the long term, too. We also don't have a utility spot available as that is presumably TDS's for most of the season. There's actually a legit case that if Galvin's performances continue to be mediocre and Fainu can get and stay fit that he should be given a run of games. I don't envy Benji having to manage that.
Nope .. 👎 Galvin needs to be sacked ,, maybe whipped and banned from the club and even his children and all his extended family ..😉🤣This is logic Chad. People letting their emotions get the better of them I think.
So if he re-signs still stupid?that was a stupid decision by Richo, he hasn't made too many however this one is not good
God, you blokes know a lot.Bula is the next cab of the rank with Isaac Moses... next
Pretty crappy fans if so.He’s gonna get hammered at LO against the sharks ! Not sure about the eels game … maybe ?
Tigers fans are brutal at times ! Especially at LO . Gonna be many a punter hurling abuse at him at LO , he won’t be able to hide like maybe the ambient noise at Comm bank might drown it out .
This is where I don't think the "drop him immediately" view is accurate. Players aren't stupid (well, kinda). If the club offers someone five million bucks then drop him the next week it's pretty obvious that they didn't suddenly decide he's not up to first grade. If he was the best 5/8 at the club last weekend he still will be next weekend. If Lachy was a proven FGer sure but he is a rookie and for every good thing he does their is probably two rookie errors. You don't give rookies the keys and 5mill unless you see them in your future.
He has made clear we are not in his so I think all the players would prefer to be lining up with a player that would benefit from the transition to FG and use Lachy when and if their are no better options.
And I think having luai back at 5/8 might work better for usIt's about the future, Benjis motto is whatever is best for the team. Getting Latu in as soon as he is ready for his development in the long term is what's best for the team. No point in Luai and Galvin working on their combo's only for him to leave in 18 months and then needing to start again with Latu, just bite the bullet now. Latus D is top shelf it'll just be his combo with Luai and timing in game shall need work but it will come with time on the pitch.
He won't be after the club made that announcementSo if he re-signs still stupid?
potentially life-changingly good.Is it a positive one for the club JR?
No , way say that , us fans where are hearts on our selves and we buy club jerseys and tops and pay to go and watch OUR club ,,we are entitled to vent our dislikePretty crappy fans if so.
Literally all the good halves pull out three or four highlight plays a game. He’s got a lot to learn but he’s off a good foundation. He hasn’t been lights out though IMO . He’s does a couple of good things a game and everyone goes oooooo ahhhh ! I’d be seriously looking hard at Latu come May .
Because if Panthers drop Luai. Theyre most likely not winning the premiership. We are a mid level team this year with or without Galvin. Thats the biggest difference and the other is that he would still be playing NSW cup if he was still with Eels most likely as he was behind Moses, brown and Ethan sanders. And he has just declined a 5 year contract at 1 mill a season which is just a little less than Luai and Cleary who have 4 rings to their name. Why?
We are talking about dropping our starting #6 because he's signed elsewhere.
