Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Galvin is going to the eels or manly for sure . Either with Moses’ nephew or or his project team .
Latu is a better half . Galvin is a better athlete . I said it before Galvin will be the generational talent , probably at backrow . Latu will be the better half .
Who cares . We are extremely fortunate that we have the Fainus and they’re invested in the club.
For me , when Latu comes back Galvin goes to Reggie’s . There’s absolutely no reason to develop him any further . Latu is a better defender , he’s a calmer head, and he’s a better ball player .
He needs to pick up his energy around the ball , work on his kicking game ,and definitely needs to fix his issues with injuries but I always remember the fact that Latu , NOT GALVIN was the heir apparent in the halves .And if he was fit to go last year for round 1 , we would have been talking about Latu not Galvin . The real issue with all this , is we lost the Large brothers .
If I was the club I’d honestly refuse to deal with Moses . He’s a blight on the game .
If he wants to go to a “winning club”, and then follows that with an announcement he is joining the Eels on a monster deal, then you know it’s all about the money and his agent moving chess pieces. Parra aren’t going to win a comp anytime soon. Who know, west tigers might not either but they are a hell of a lot closer to it than Parra.

No but that’s not the point , if benji had not given him the chance he would still be playing nsw cup or lower, just saying he has crapes on the club
While the club is in the running to make the finals- it absolutely is the point.

You don't denegrate your chances of winning now until you know that season is a wash.

Don't get me wrong- if Latu outplays Galvin, you make the change regardless.

But if Galvin plays lights-out, dropping him does the club no favours at all.

Should Penrith have dropped Luai last year?
Luai had already won 4 comps and played in 5 grandfinals with Penrith, he easily repaid the faith showed in him, he told them he wanted to be the lead in a team to see if he could do it, a new challenge. The upstart in our team has played 1 season and 6 games and already thinks he's too good to be playing for us after we put our faith in him. He hasn't repaid us he's run the first chance he got.

I don't think he goes to either.
Parra are chasing Lykhan King togia extremely hard to replace Brown.
Manly have Joey Walsh who they have signed until 2028 plus Onitoni Large who can play in the halves.

I actually think Galvin has messed this up. His suitors are dropping quickly and I don't think he will get 1m at any other club.
Penrith ? They were the ones mentioned a long time ago . Actually I don’t care haha . Whatever bro . I don’t actually rate him as a half if I’m being honest . He’s a baller , who right now best suits the halves, because he’s too small for the forwards .
On the weekend he absolutely killed like a million overlaps by going full hog mode . He’s a gun footy player for sure . And I’m sure whichever team gets him will benefit big time . But yea I dunno . Maybe hes being set up as the franchise player for the team after png . Maybe even PNG . Chuck 2mil at him tax free , thanks for coming .

Post cognitive as this is . . . we pretty much knew he was a greater chance of going than staying.
Hopefully, at the end of this season we can use him as a bargaining chip to get us a monster forward or gun back.
And best of all, hopefully Benji can now tell JL he doesn't have to keep it in his pants onfield, to pander to wonder boy any longer. We might finally get to see some creativity from JL, and demanding the ball instead of him being out ranked by that other bloke.

I actually think Manly makes sense. Story comes out Brooks can leave. Turbo has 13 seconds of game time in him.

Walsh @ 7
Galvin @ 6
Large @ 1

With Seibs doing whatever Moses tells him to do.

How could that go wrong?
Problem with this is…Siebs will be gone before too long as well. Guy can’t coach. Players don’t warm to him for whatever reason. Say what you want about Benj’s coaching chops, his players love him and it’s not because he cravenly chases their approval.

It only torpedoed the broncos where every single player , coach , executive, ball boy … got fired . It happened at the warriors ,it also happened here when we wouldn’t give him the control he wanted .
He should be dropped the moment Latu is fit . Loyalty is a 2 way street .

He hasn’t been lights out though IMO . He’s does a couple of good things a game and everyone goes oooooo ahhhh ! I’d be seriously looking hard at Latu come May .

Bula is the next cab of the rank with Isaac Moses... next

I get it. Honestly.

But dumping him to sate the fans anger is not doing his team mates any favours.

The club is playing pretty well. His team mates are playing pretty well. We are in position to do significantly better than the last 3 seasons.

The club can maintain it's resurgence, maintain it's dignity, and still get Latu on the field this season. Dropping Galvin ONLY because he's signed elsewhere potentially damages the first 2 to ramp up the 3rd.

If Latu can be seen to outplay Galvin, there is no question.

It should NOW be on the coaching staff to ramp up Latu's play to make dropping Galvin the RIGHT move.

I'm actually quite excited about what a million could do for our squad. That's a couple more pros in the Bird, Turuva etc... mould with Latu at 6. I think this is the best thing for the club long term, not so much that Lachie is going, but that we don't have to find some way of fitting him and Latu into the wrong positions on too much coin.

Imagine Bullemore and Curran in our current team and you'll see what I mean.

This is logic Chad. People letting their emotions get the better of them I think.

I dunno man . Do you reckon ? Bula seems like a far more humble , and level headed kid . He didn’t have the rolls Royce treatment that Galvin had , and in fact the club definitely took a chance on him , when they let him rock up to training like it’s A grade .
I hunk much like Pole , there’s a sense of loyalty there . But who knows with Moses . He’s a grub . On a positive note , we’ve got some gun fullbacks like that Logan Brookes around the 17/18 year old mark . So come 2028 , Bula will be 26/27 , but those kids will be 20/21. I think we have the pathways coming through .

Anyone think Richo's move might have blindsided the Moses/Galvin camp a bit?

They didn't even review the offer then Richo comes out with this club statement to
end speculation from our end. I mean the club offer him their highest offer out of our
25 year history and it wasn't even reviewed.

I really like this move from our end. Very poor look for Galvin.

How long will Galvin use the old cliche' 'I'm leaving it up to my manager'.
