Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Wouldn’t be a bad backup and eventually number 14 when Api retired and TDS becomes our full time hooker

Could also move around with Bird for the number 16
Yeah and along with Kade7's mail yesterday, it sounds like the club are giving Taylan every opportunity to get himself together before assessing him as a recruitment option. Great move by the club and Taylan's manager. Since all his weird posts on Insta a few weeks ago, Taylan has gone quiet on social media so maybe the penny has dropped & he's sorting himself out. It would not surprise if all 3 May brothers are with us in '26.

The only way forward for Galvin at the club is if he fronts the playing group and speaks authentically to them that whilst he won't be there in '27, he is committed to putting in 110% with them and is focused on being the best team mate he can be. That needs to happen today!
Noble thought, but would Benji be allowed to attend and what would he say to him?

True but he still has to be man enough to address them as a group IMO.

Fingers crossed we can extend TDS very soon. I want to see AD put another at least month of consistent footy together before sitting down to talk extensions as much to see how his body holds up. But the way he is going, he'll earn it.

Another background depth play for '26 onwards is Tyrone May. He is off contract this year, playing good footy in the halves for the ladder-leading Hull KR, currently coached by Willie Peters a close associate of Richo wink wink and Peters recently made these comments about Tyrone.

Willie Peters has provided further clarity on the club's halfback plans for 2026, including the position of Tyrone May.

The halfback is off-contract at the end of the season and has yet to sign a new deal, with the player holding long-standing ambitions to play with his brothers, who play in the NRL.
“Tyrone’s openly said that he wants to go back and play with his brothers, he’s said that a number of times. If he’s waiting for an opportunity to see if that opens, we obviously need to move as a club and look at opportunities that pop up as a club, because you can’t just wait, we miss the boat as well," said Peters.
No to Tyrone May please. I despise him for his off-field behaviour, but even if you don't consider that, he's just not that good.

I now trust Benji with Richo in the recruitment of players in terms of performance & character. They will do their due diligence especially via the Willie Peters link. Would be good depth as a backup half and opportunity to prove he is more.

Apparently he is being dropped for AD

I am a fan of dropping him but not sure about moving AD. He is pretty much one of our only centre options ATM and he needs all the game time he can get in that position. Moving him now would hinder our stocks and if we get any injuries at centre would cause further frustration to our side.

I would prefer we run with Mason at 5/8 who has shown a lot of ball playing potential. I think he is a smokey who would form a great combination with both Luai and Bula.

I think he will be named at 18th man and will make his way into the side on game day.
The attack was rubbish with Mason at fullback . And the KOE team was dire beyond belief with him in the halves .
Attack wise , we will be fine , as it will be the Jahrome Luai show . Which it hasn’t been since he got here , I reckon to stroke Galvins ego .
The issue is for me , Naden falls off a lot of tackles in defence . He can get caught arm grabbing at times .
But if he’s still in the positive “training the house down , looks like a different player “ phase of his career then I’m happy to give him a go . Apparently he was a man amongst boys last week against Newcastle in KOE.

That’s exactly how I would have played it if I was Benji . Pretty smart play . You hope the playing group would have your back , because of all the culture building you’ve been doing . But for the guys to come out , and be like “we got you Benji! ” .
That shits galvanising ! That’s how teams come together !
I reckon the boys are going to be pumped up for Monday . They’re gonna want to prove a point !

I feel the same. And it seems they all really like AD especially the way he has carried himself through multiple ACLs.

AD will be pumped for the opportunity to show his wares as a half too and has never shied away from responsibility.

Naden is a different beast when he has Luai leading him on the field

Lachlan Galvin is reportedly set to be axed by the Wests Tigers for their Easter Monday clash against Parramatta.

The news reported first by The Sydney Morning Herald, comes a day after the Tigers confirmed the teen star had rejected a new deal with the Concord club, which was said to be prepared to give him a five-year deal worth upwards of $5 million.

Galvin's impending departure - currently to happen after 2026 - has sparked internal unrest at the club, with reports senior players want the five-eighth to be replaced.

if players called for his axing, we need to back it up with a win this week
💯
I’m told there is a lot more to this story than what has so far been reported.
Regardless of what has or has not happened for it to get to this stage, refusing to even consider a monster contract offer and then belittling the coach who put him on the map is just asking for trouble and was obviously all part of the plan to get released from the club ASAP.

If Galvin wants to go now, WTs just throw the unreasonable and then tell him and his management to suck the sideline.

Bulldogs = Chrichton
Manly = Olokuatu or however the hell spell it
Parra = No body id want, they suck.
Didn't the clown reporters say Mitch Moses is really good friends with Laui !?

Luai is a chance to go to Parra to replace Brown !?

These were the reports coming out of HQ just a few weeks ago.

How bout best buddy Mitch joins Luai at the Tigers ? There's ya headline.

we hold the cards now. Galvan and his team won’t want to hang about for a season and two thirds. For a 19 year old kid that’s forever, particularly in a hostile environment. But we can hold him and play him in lower grades, backup for injury, etc. and basically just use him up. If a rival club wants him early then a top drawer player swap. A transfer fee might appeal to Richo as a financially responsible CEO, but fans don’t really care about that. Fans care about wins and player signings.
If anything, the dressing room will be even more motivated now to stick it up the critics…and to show Galvan he is not required.
