LIVE GAME Round 7 vs Eels

Live Game Discussion
I was there
First 10 mins of the 2nd half we did not touch the ball
The rot started with the BS pen for the non hip drop tackle on Tuilagi
He milked it big time .The bunker falling for it is a disgrace as he showed a minute later by scoring a try
Pens and repeat sets over and over meant we were on a hiding to nothing
The only reason Lauliili didn't score later on was a whack to the head with full force by Moses .It should have been a penalty try
Finally playing catch up footy last 10 mins some wild passes led to 12 points against us against the run of play
One Addo Carr intercept stopped a certain try which would have put us in front
Finally Douehi is better in the centers
I spoke to Latu before the game and he said he will be back in 2 weeks
I said I think you will be the new star tigers 5/8 and he said I hope so !

Wests Tigers v Parramatta

Kelma Tuilagi (PAR)

Grade 2 Shoulder Charge on Terrell May (1 min)
Base penalty 3 matches
2nd offence
- Early Plea - 3 matches
- Guilty at panel / no contest - 4 matches
PLEA: 12pm Tuesday

Not to have a whinge but how does such a serious offence get turned a complete blind eye to with all the technology?

Judging by the grading, is that not a sin bin?
Yep, the fix was in from the first tackle.

I’m clueless as to why Moses was not sent to the bin and only put on report for the professional foul on Laulilii and we were not awarded the penalty try when it was a scoring opportunity.
All the endless talk about protecting the head and such inconsistency...

It pisses me off
The rule is black and white.

Moderate force to a Wests Tigers players head is fair play.

Problem is when you're a side that is down the ladder these rules don't apply.

any rule any crack down they mention for how long doesn't make sense if they don't police fairly and consistently across all clubs - week in week out

Mate, you're not on your own.

This week destroyed by 2 x filthy scum Moses.

How does this team allow that to happen?

How do I allow this team to do this to me? 😡
Same .. I feel like lying in bed on the fetal position.. even my adult kids are feeling sorry for me and consoling me with tirades about the terrible officiating at crucial times of the game .. the boys had a go , a big go , but it just feels like the Rigby league gods are toying with us at times … look at the bounce Simmonson got compared to the bounce laulliil had to contend with .. the addio Carr intercept , the head high swinging arm tackle of Moses that “didn’t affect the try” ? Huh ?? The hip drop that was not on the legs , the douhie broken nose that was low .. the shoulder charge into May on the first tackle of the game ..Parra had an absolute clean sheet at half time ..thing is I cannot stop my heart from bleeding black and gold , I really just want a fair go from the referees .. we do not ever get the rub of the green from them . We have other issues I know , but come on .. stop inventing reasons to punish us ..

All of this hurts...

Firstly Isaac Moses 1- Wests tigers 0.

We lost all grades this week. Not a mature club.

Club did a reasonable job of making it feels like a home ground but it still didn't. Well done to eels fans for turning up, was probably a 60/40 split to us

Moses dominated the game and targetted laulilii better than any team has. Moses was excellent.

Line speed, tackling and our dirty hit ups were all very poor.

Naden and laulilii play scared, toa isnt a gritty player and turuva had his worst game for us. Compare that with the quality play of Skelton and our backs in better form and it goes a long way to explaining that game.

I don't know why luai didn't play 1st receiver more. When he's on the ball either side he's excellent, he needs to be our ball hog.

Doueihi didn't play well.

IMO Galvin's work rate has been covering for our weak backline. I didn't expect that to be the case but without him we were very passive and sideways where he is always taking the line on. It masks a lot of our deficiencies . Again, I underappreciated how important galvin was to us. Having doueihi play distributor meant we lost his wide running and his distribution was average.

Ref was random and really disruptive to the game. Would love that to be an excuse, but our tackling and line speed were pathetic today. Back to the old scrambling markers and defensive line not able to push up. No one was hitting today.

So disappointing.

I was at the game today. The referee was awful for both sides. He tried to assert dominance early but lost the game. Overall I felt we did not get the rub of the green. Some takes from me:

Thought Bula was dangerous all game and a must re- sign.

Douihei tried hard but looked gassed a few times - I think we stick with him for the moment. I think he will be better next week.

Luai defended on the wing lots. I’d say his shoulder isn’t great. Probably need to take lore control in attack.

Moses is basically a passenger. Passes and kicks and defends as a winger. He isn’t able to run the ball like he used to. From what I heard, he is a game to game proposition as his foot hasn’t healed as expected.

Api is so central to what we do. He runs the attack and I am not sure what we do without him.

Naden was ok as was the rest of the team. I thought the ref did us no favours but we looked an bit disjointed in attack

It does seem like that and it’s unfair, but to be honest the crap our team continues to dish up year after year annoys me even more than the crap decisions always going against us.
