It’s only his price tag if he’s still under contract. He’s off contract so we just need to be the highest bidder. That’s what he’s getting paid now I think so it’s just a comparison.

Weren’t we Stefanie’s highest bidder? It’s only his price tag if he’s still under contract. He’s off contract so we just need to be the highest bidder.
We’re not competing with Melbourne for KPP. Newcastle are the only other party from all reports.Weren’t we Stefanie’s highest bidder?
Why is that his asking price or not rated by other clubs , as there are many that could do with a 2nd rowerWe’re not competing with Melbourne for KPP. Newcastle are the only other party from all reports.
Too right, now the aim has to be to get the team working in unison on avoiding surfaces and exploit gaps; once we have achieved that we will become a top 4 side. Until then we have to learn, and lean to identiy surfaces and gaps in game time. Our captain worked it out; throw a little dummy step to break the line, and step the FB on the way to the try line.
Rinse and repeat.
I think Woods was always a Dogs junior. He is a gifted athlete and to me has potentially a much higher upside than Galvin. The one of interest maybe Alex Conti who was originally a Tiger. He has a game management skillset. Great kicking and passing game and is currently playing 14 for the Dogs in Flegg (Woods is 7)If Galvin goes to the Dogs we need to get Woods back. Lose one prospect gain another. He'd be the odd man out since they surely aren't playing Burton or Galvin in the forwards...
Its fallen apart because of the Galvin issue affecting team cohesion and spirit. He is the link man playmaker and his form has fallen off a cliff. He is playing like a slow weak school boy which he is. The sooner Luai is at 5/8 the betterI can't put my finger on it but there is something not right within the playing group. Not sure if it is the grind taking effect or a split in the group themselves. Line speed has dropped off, the scramble has dropped off and the coordination is lacking.
Surely nobody thinks that we train to have Bird, or any other numptie, at first receiver on the fifth. So how or why is the assignment being missed? Does Galvin have the primary kicking role but is struggling to execute it under pressure at NRL level?
We have players and coaching staff that understand what is required - and seriously it isn't that hard to show on a whiteboard or out on the training paddock. There is also no doubt in my mind that Benji and Co are capable of developing a simple game plan to focus our strenghts against a perceived oppostion weakness. So what is happening between the Captain's run and game time?
My gut feel is that we play much straighter in attack on the training paddock and our lateral running is resulting in players being out of postion, or assignments being missed. There is clearly an execution issue - it would be great to get to training and spend time watching how the Captain's run goes down and compare it to what is being executed so we can figure out where the issue lies.
Anyone in a postion to spy for the forum?
Actually, Scott Prince made the tri-nations squad and played one test - https://www.rugbyleagueproject.org/competitions/tri-nations-2005/squads.htmlWe are always going to struggle to sign players as it is death of rep career
. API joins dumped. Lui signs dumped. May second best in comp not looked at. Marshmallow Stef not looked at when hear leaves and straight in.
This has happened for years 2005 not 1 player made Aus team tell me 1 other year the premiers did not have 1 player make Aus team.
I have it on good account that he especially and TDS to some extent don’t bond as well with the team as the rest of them do.Its fallen apart because of the Galvin issue affecting team cohesion and spirit. It's in the contract bro.Bellamy is an assistant, of course Stef was getting a leg up
My take is that the "let Lachy play what is in front of him" experiment has run its course. I think we despo need Latu back and to stay fit for more than 5 minutes. I think Luai is being asked too often, or deferring too often, to giving Galvin the ball.I can't put my finger on it but there is something not right within the playing group. Not sure if it is the grind taking effect or a split in the group themselves. Line speed has dropped off, the scramble has dropped off and the coordination is lacking.

I agree with this, and the Galvin experiment has run his course. My take is that the "let Lachy play what is in front of him" experiment has run its course. Latu at 7 and Luai at 6 lets both players handle the ball equally, Luai can focus on runs and kicks, Latu keeps us straight and he distributes fairly well. Latu also has a direct running game.
Currently with Galvin we spend too much energy trying to guess what he's going to do and where he will go. Yes he pokes through here and there, yes he has try assists but he throws 100 grenades a match with the hopes that a few will land in the enemy trenches. Ironically it's very Benji-like, where the lack of structure starts to hurt his team-mates and although we come hard at the end of most matches, its too frantic. There ends up a considerable lowlights reel to match the highlights reel, when really we are begging for a very modest Cooper Cronk-type performance where 90% of the stuff is solid and boring and dependable.
If Latu was back I'd be inclined to try Lachy at lock, so he can still have his efforts but he touches the ball way less and he gets a bit of defensive starch into his game. Or centres. Failing that, you drop him again.
With Latu out however I don't see what other changes you can make except to ask Luai to take more control and pass to Lachy less often.

Latu will be fit for the next game but will Benji pick him.I agree with this, and the Galvin experiment has run his course.
If Latu is not ready, I am using Mason or AD in the 6 with Laui as I think the team will respond to not having a guy in the team who has put a bullying claim in and says he is not happy with the coaching (and his only 19 but don't get me started)
No Player wants to play with an upstart kid who want everything and bags the club. Sorry but that's just the real world and the players would never say it
My ex rooster mate at work was filthy on Galvo today citing the dropped ball.I agree with this, and the Galvin experiment has run his course.

Benji is still the final piece of the old regimes decisions. He is the one thing left from the old dysfunctional useless board. I'm hoping they accidentally made a right decision out of sheer luck. Only time will tell.My ex rooster mate at work was filthy on Galvo today citing the dropped ball.
He said it just wasnt good enough for a first grader.
But his assessment was that Souths won it more than we lost it.
Which to me, comes back to instilling the virtues of effort in as many players as possible.
To see Heath mentioned in despatches as a first choice half, it really sends a shiver down ones spine as to the perception of the general disfunction afflicting our team at the moment.
Ive never doubted Benjis good intent, just his ability.
Id still like to know the identity of the 16 coaching applicants Tim recieved before diligently appointing himself. I know its academic, but a lot of our discussion is wondering.
Bold hypotheticals and alternate histories!
Or speed…Like Benji with no super powers or step
I think I backed them, Lol.Hey Jolls
I have owned a couple of race horses that ran great splits (200m)
on the training track
But
on race day showed zilch.
