Braith and Gordy both said he is unproven and that they don't buy into the hype... They think he has potential to be good but that they have both seen much better.I know...its mind boggling
I see a young guy who when he first came into NRL looked right at home, like hed been playing the grade for years
Since then hes been good, often not so good...Id love the hear in depth what some of these experts can see what he'll bring in the future, Braith reckons hes a real ''footy head''...whatever that means
I guess in three years with a NRL body and the experience that comes with time hes potentially a very good player, in what position...who knows
Our club signed Galvin, TDS and co under the noses of powerful clubs including Canterbury. We did well and our staff involved in the identification, retention and development should be congratulated. This was a big win for WTsIts a win for the fans as we are seeing some justice in a shadenfreude type capacity. There is some delight to be taken in watching the narrative turn on those who initiated this mess.
The club though? They still lose.
Our management were played and easily beaten.
Our coach has been dragged in the media - rightly or wrongly.
Another young gun walks.
This is the 5th first grader in the past year to break contract and leave early.
The team is divided and not playing well.
We are left with only 27 players and surely everyone is suspicious of those coming up to contract renewal - especially TDS and the guys with the get out clauses...
The ego's of Richo, Marshall, maybe even Api and Luai have taken a hit
We have to start all over again training a half and the one we really want to succeed is always injured.
This, along with the SOO snubs is surely a red flag for recruitment, meaning we will possibly be back to paying overs
Once again, our club provides the drama which is usually disruptive and we're about to embark on the tough part of our draw.
Apologies, you wrote a "great judge" and he was interviewing them at a Panthers' game in his role as a commentator.Im talking purely football.
Thats not relevant to right now.Our club signed Galvin, TDS and co under the noses of powerful clubs including Canterbury. We did well and our staff involved in the identification, retention and development should be congratulated. This was a big win for WTs
Obviously Im talking a great judge of football talent.Apologies, you wrote a "great judge" and he was interviewing them at a Panthers' game in his role as a commentator.
Of course it is, because as far back as HM, WTs resisted the efforts of clubs including Canterbury to get under our guard. The club can only do so much.Thats not relevant to right now.
we won the comp in 05 as well...Of course, it is because as far back as HM, WTs resisted the efforts of clubs including Canterbury to get under our guard.
Isn’t Smith managed by Moses? Why would he jump in on that side of the argument.I was dissappointed with Smith. he has as much knowledge of the game as Gould and he could have added some weight to the Chammas side. The problem was though, Chammas was stating widely held opinions and was talking about Gould and the Dogs like Phil wasnt there and was easily interrupted and stalled by Gould stating 'thats not true'. He needed the receipts to say you said this on this date, you did that on this date etc...
An evidence based argument would have made Gould look a right liar last night. He certainly got under his skin, but didnt deliver a knock out blow for mine.
Whats Moses going to do to him? He isnt a Mafia Don.Isn’t Smith managed by Moses? Why would he jump in on that side of the argument.
How is it not?Thats not relevant to right now.
connect the dots.Whats Moses going to do to him? He isnt a Mafia Don.
Dazza ,I would generally agree about agents and greed. In this case IM and LG rejected Tigers hugh offer thus resulting IM losing a large amount in commission.A contract is a contract is a contract. For both sides. The end. No need for agents like 99% of the population who enter into employment contracts every day. Agent involvement driven by greed and greed alone.
Did they tell you that? All of them? You are probably right. How is it not?
We can identify talent.
We still have Latu and TDS in our system
If we lose tem both then sure, it's an issue
But right now I don't think anyone's too upset Galvin is leaving.. and most importantly, I think the players are happy he's going.. and that holds more weight than any of our opinions here on the forum.
Expert creep.Did you watch his interview with Jessica and Noemi Fox?
Gould could have been owned. He was about 50% owned by virtue of Chammas asking hard questions, but he didn't bring any receipts and he was steamrolled.Of course you saw it that way.
Dude Gould got owned big time.
I don’t like Chammas, but man I respect what he did last night.
Another minor battle win but not the war. Who is the last junior we have developed that has gone on to be a champion with the WT? We always lose them to the top clubs where they become champions. Our club signed Galvin, TDS and co under the noses of powerful clubs including Canterbury. We did well and our staff involved in the identification, retention and development should be congratulated. This was a big win for WTs
I agree with this. The headlines are misleading. It did bring to the surface the blatant lies though and Gould isn’t completely devoid of accountability.Gould could have been owned. He was about 50% owned by virtue of Chammas asking hard questions, but he didn't bring any receipts and he was steamrolled.
Gould was rattled, but ultimately was able to avoid it by talking over him and never really let Chammas get his point across.
