Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Heath Mason's suspension sees Sunia Turuva shift to fullback, with Charlie Staines set to make his return to the side on the wing.

Api Koroisau's concussion means Adam Doueihi will line up at five-eighth and Luke Laulilii is elevated to the starting team at centre.

Tristan Hope and Charlie Murray are both set to make their second NRL appearances, with Hope to start at hooker and Murray an inclusion on the interchange bench.

Alex Twal skippers the side in the absence of Jarome Luai and Api Koroisau.

Seyfarth was recently upgraded, I heard around 500k a year, which I said on here at the time. He was starting second rower when he signed that deal earlier in the year. While that is the starting rate for a starter, I thought it was bizarre considering he had no interest from other NRL clubs at the time.

Pole also re-signed at the end of last season and I believe it was around 550k and increasing slightly each season.

With the new cap and all the new teams, you essentially won't find a starting player across the league on less than 450-500k a year. Even most kids coming into their first year of their first contract are starting on 250k as clubs are fearful of losing them to rivals and expansions teams.
Seyfarth was actually offered a contract at the Broncos but was told he wouldn't be in the top 17 and the Bulldogs were interested till Benji told him he wanted to keep him.
And he is on 400k

he cooked with everything BUT I would’ve put hunt on the bench because he rolled the roosters NSW cup forwards and Twal as captain is weird

Looks like a NSW Cup side TBH.

Nothing better that Benji could really pick. though.

Our only hope is through the forwards much like last week, but watch us fumble our way side to side making no ground and passing behind players.

I don't care who the assistants are ... I just want the assistants in the pre-season to remodel our attacking structures (depth, players-in-motion ... structures to put the defence in two minds every play) & defensive intent (hit hard & with purpose, not just this pussy hold stuff lol).

And I want the NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg coaches to work together as NRL transition coaches, do development plans with all individual players to help them improve & progress from Flegg to NRL, ensure these players meet KPIs inside & outside of training, bring in specialist coaches to assist their development.
Jolls has done some deep diving on this very topic.
