I'm not against Adam at half. What I push back against is that his performance wasn't because he made great halfback plays. One was a dropped ball. One was a run from dummy half. One was a hitup where he offloaded.Sorry I think I misinterpreted the initial post. What I will say is that Latu has played more at half than AD for a fraction of the impact.
Listen I like Latu (although I don’t think he’s a game managing half) but all I care about now is winning games. That dogs game felt so good and I want more.
At the moment AD at half gives us the best chance at winning games, I don’t see how there’s any argument against that.
He didn't create anything out of shape or structure, so while I'm excited about his performance, it was not a halfback clinic he put on against the Dogs.
I don't think we lose anything by having him as a lock, but in that particular game where the weather meant more traffic through the middle, the bigger body at half and the extra forward on at lock made sense in the conditions.
We will see what happens against Manly I guess.
I do also think it's not correct that Adam hasn't had a chance in the halves...this season he's had limited time there, but he's been with us a long time and has had multiple chances overbthe years, but has been moved each time because he cannot maintain any consistency there.
We can put it down to the injuries or whatever excuses, but Latu has also had injuries and we don't seem to make the same excuses for him.
