Not my favourite but like it much better than Union.
1982 I was boss of a company who were a major sponsor of the Melbourne Demons
Loved going to the pre game luncheon at the MCG sitting with some famous people
Eg Ron Barassi ,Derryn Hinch , Wolf Blass etc .Good memories

Can't believe all the knock on's and forward passes and they actually give you a point for missing the goal, all of those are coach killers in the greatest game of all.

On the positive side, I guess it at least provides a use for cricket grounds during the off season.

Got free tix to a GWS game a few years back so we decided to go along... Hard free parking access too.
Was hard to hold.my interest and hard also to follow the ball

It was fun to play but awful to watch

I have always been told TV doesn't do it justice as there is so much happening off the ball that the cameras don't pick up.

Never played AFL ....played every footy code including grid iron
Grid iron was ok because they didn't have enough players so you played either side of the ball so had more action

Yes but the pinnacle of AFL is representing a shit suburb of Melbourne not beating another country. It’s a waste of time and energy imo. And at the same time draining sporting talent and resources away from sports that matter. If I was P.M it would be outlawed.
