Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It was a bold decision to let Sandon Smith go to the Knights. He slotted into his role with the minimum of fuss and will be a good buy for the Knights. The Knight's cap must be tight.
Think Roosters did the DCE deal early in the season, and had no idea how their young halves wld progress..
Think theyd luv to undo it it and start again with their kids..but a contract is a contract ...when it suits the player

I thought I read a few weeks ago Hiroti was signed by someone. Cronulla????
He never left Cronulla.... has been there & playing for Newtown for years after leaving Souths.

The various podcast-based social sites just put up clickbait crap because they have ZERO CLUE!

That people then share or repeat those posts as if they were from a "reliable source" is why this forum is broken!

I have seen people posting that we have signed a mystery forward. Would anyone care to elaborate for me?

Rumour was getting a top young player from his current T&T to a upgraded West Tiger's top 30 contract

But unfortunately that could be Taupau Moors or Godinet the way Tiger's operate

But the I have been thinking what going to happen to Pole after 27 with these young kids coming on Pole will be coming into his best years or maybe by by Alex

Well....when youve had 3 cpnsecutive spoons and a 13th,Im not particularly perturbed by KOE cup reinforcements
.I need genuine NRL players to put our NRL team in a better position..the rest is irrelevant
Cant agree the rwason we ars in this mess is we have nwver developed our juniors or our pathways properly most good teams have good lower grades as well

Well it’s definitely not Toby Crosby.

No, it's really not irrelevant. This club needs to start producing junior talent in waves. It is never, ever going to become competitive by signing first grade players in free agency: that just burns up cap space and creates unbalanced rosters with a few stars and a bunch of dross. We need to be the Panthers or Raiders, not the Titans.

If there are good walk up starters available for reasonable money of course we should sign them. In fact, we have been doing so: Luia, Turuva, May, May, Pearce-Paul. But we also need young talent, roster depth, cheap finds in the rough - all of it. We need to go from having maybe 15 players who can at least hold their own in first grade to 30-plus - and we can't pay 500k plus for all of them.

Just need to find 15 more Alex Seyfarths in the next 3 years and we'll be in the top 4 in no time.
