How do you know HBG have suggested him, he doesn’t appear to have any connection with Wests Magpies or HBG.
They meaning HBG may now be getting directed what’s fi rather than doing what they want to do.
A much more likely connection is PVL Racing NSW and ex Harness Racing NSW, Tony Mestrov ex Greyhound Racing NSW.

I assume you know absolutely nothing about Tony Metrov other than Manly didn’t make the top 8 in 2025 so it’s all their CEO’s fault he must be no good.

I won’t comment on the Pride jersey as it’s a bit outside my area of expertise, but is not giving into a 37 years request for up around 1 million per season a bad decision ?

Depends on how far you go back. Wests were dubbed ‘the millionaire club’ back in the 50’s & 60s. The whole battlers thing was brought into play by Roy Masters in the 70’s and has been carried forward from there.

Balmain have won the third most premierships in their time and were considered a top club early on, but that certainly hasn’t always been the case. From what I can remember growing up they were a pretty average team, their underdog status in the 1969 GF attests to that. The 1980s brought change when they had some great line ups going around. I don’t ever recall Balmain being considered classier though by any stretch of the imagination.

As for Collingwood, they’ve always been one of the most supported and successful teams. Not sure about universally hated unless you’re a Carlton supporter lol. I think the Swans were at one stage on a par with being most hated club especially when they first entered the AFL.

Collingwood are basically a mixture of magpies and Souths if you compare to nrl . Bogan club full of Neanderthal dead shit fans , who hurl racial abuse ( as recently as last year ) at opposition players . They he whole guy with one thong walks into a bar joke about Souths, applies to Collingwood .
