I still get a laugh though when Jack Hetherington signs with the Storm after being told I have no idea about football & Hetherington is a KOE player at best.

I think Chammas has some relationships with HBG, as he was going pretty soft and had those cracks at Richo.

NRL can definitely do something as they hold the right to the license, but the devil is in the contract there. It might be that they have grounds to pull it now, or they might need to wait till renewal. But they certainly should have leverage to force HBG hand to do things. Just not to sell.

The bagging of HBG was much shorter than Richo … That’s for sure ..

The License is one thing which the NRL had made a strong statement about already … they have not been as strong when talking about an administrator being appointed

Don't get me wrong- I appreciate the pasion you bring to the table. And no doubt, you have been witness to things I have not been. And you seem pretty well connected too.

But realistically, HBG is going to appoint a new set of board members & hire a new CEO regardless of what the fans say.

What I'm hoping for is that....they continue exploring some kind of 'independent leadership', however that is achieved. And that the new CEO is not only competent, but works well with Benji.

And, if it gives the majority share holders some peace of mind that they are not being overlooked, but it also works in favour of the club- that'd be great.

Until HBG are NOT majority shareholders, they will get a large say in how it is run.

Obviously you have not been watching the HBG activities over the past few years if you expect any of that to eventuate.

To be fair, Mielekamp did it with the Central Coast Mariners, and is adored by their fanbase. This is a much tougher job though with a much higher level of media scrutiny.

Thing is imo, HBG complain that Richo was autonomous and allegedly they were kept in the dark, that's precisely what we needed, we need a dictator at the top who won't take any prisoners cause for the last 15 years it's been a career killer coming to the Wests Tigers. Other thing aswell, if HBG install Mielekamp as CEO, iv got absolutly no confidence he will be anything other than the HBG board lacky, he won't be doing his thing just what the overlords want.

He has worked at Souths and Penrith before moving to soccer.

Personally think the only other CEO we could have brought in to replace Richo was to bring Steve Noyce back. He dealt with a more volatile boardroom and had success here.

Meilekamp as CEO, add Wests Tigers men like Ben Galea & John Skandalis to the board.

If what Chammas says is even close to the way it went down, while not excusing HBG, there are grounds to look at change.

I don’t particularly have any confidence in anyone HBG appoints …

If the NRL is not going to curb their authority somehow tne place is up shit creek

Well in my eyes it achieved a great CEO and the best roster in years. So I’ll go back to the well. Whether it’s realistic to do so, well we will see.
