No argument there, it is the loss of arguably the form nine in the game that is at issue.

Yes but no team makes changes to the backline unless injury or failed HIA. If Herbert didn’t get injured Maka doesn’t come on at all, and Madden going off for the failed HIA made us use 2 interchanges on the backs which you never want to do. The forced changes stuffed the forward rotation, that’s what cost us today.
Where was Herbert? Defending right side i think? I dunno mate, all I know is they swapped Toa and Makasini at HT to try to nullify Farnworth
Maybe we still loose if we didn't lose Maddon and Herbert, but i think we would been more competitive.
Also probably the wrong week to not have Latu on the bench.
We still almost got there, the commentators were raving on about the dolphin players missing what about us. We are missing so many crucial players... and then lost more during the game.

Our other unused bench players were Geyer and Murray … yes it would have been better .. by a smidge ..:

Transparent that neither Makisini nor Mason are 1st grade ready
Both schoolboy prodigies..But both are liabilities
Mason is proven to be struggling at this level for some time,whatever position he plays ..he finishes up this year,and hopefully he moves on where his speed can be optimised.
Makasini is unfortunately a complete liability in defence,and also under the high ball it seems
.Cost us at least 12 points today,and we had to reshuffle the backline to accomodate him because he simply cant defend
Hes only 18 so I have some patience with him,but hes lacking athletism and mobility ....at that age Sualli was pushing fot SOO selection.
He simply may be another edge backrower going forward..but am prepared to be a ittle patient.
But not a lot if he costs us games like he did today

Thats a big call. I was a Murray fan as opposed to Hope, but both those guys were absolutely dreadful last time out.
I did not say that , i said with the guns that were missing from phins we should have been able to deal with them , i reckon there are pensioners turds out there harder than our forwards

Yes they are both ordinary players … but I guess they could have been utilised to give the other forwards a bit more rest
If you can’t see the difference this year I can’t help you. We’re not the same team as previous years. In those days, I’d 100% agree with you about the loser culture. Back in those days we folded anytime the slightest bit of pressure was applied. This side is nothing like that. Today we got beat by fatigue, a better class of side and too many reserve graders in the side.

I don't know how we can win games with all these bloody injuries happening every week, there's just no chance for the team to gel.
We can't take a trick there's too much disruption we are probably lucky we have won as many as we have.
Need a miracle to make the top 8 now.

100%. And despite trialling well, the mid just isn’t ready to be in firsts in my opinion.

Yep that’s pretty much how I saw it. The injuries were very cruel too.
Dolphins have a hell of a squad this year. To be missing who they were and still posting 6 tries is incredible. When we had a similar amount of stars missing we were getting flogged.
5 wins will get us to 30. Obviously today would have been nice to bank 2 points, but it's far from over mate.
If by mid you mean Maka than yeah I agree, but today we had no choice and given Herbert is out next week Maka will probably have to play again.

Our run home is tough too.
Wouldn't be suprised if we lose to the dogs and one to the dragons... raiders even
