Not sure what money we have left in our cap but Willison would be a great option for us.
Sam F i think will likely stay with us especially considering that there are some better SRFs available like Preston, Young and Martin.
As for backs I read that Schiller is available. He could be OK. Certainly big and reasonably quick and can find the line. Penisini from the Eels possibly?

How many Manly fans know exactly what his responsibilities were and whether he was good at his job or not?
Same as many of our fans who seem to have inside knowledge that our assistant coaches are the problem.
Not saying that our assistant coaches are or are not the problem, but for fans to jump to conclusions without any real knowledge of the situation is very strange to say the least.
For all we know our assistant coaches could be saying one thing, Benji not agreeing and overruling some decisions they make?
After all this is exactly what happened with Madge and Ben Te’o at the Broncos earlier this year, so you would assume it happens at other clubs too.

Centre
He is a big unit and has pace
But I think they just resigned him , might be wrong

2 Benji & he have a history
3 Coached in the Macarthur area in his early days (Camden Rams)

Manly fans dont like him

I cannot comment on his last 15 years and whether he remains a suitable option, but I can say that he is one of the extremely rare coaches at WT that have made the finals, particularly twice.

part of the Mosesification era that Seibold oversaw. anyone associated with that time period is public enemy #1 at Manly.

that said, I don’t want Gentle near us. hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory post WT.

I’m hopeful we look abroad for coaching talent. Brian McDermott, Frederic Michalak and Richard Agar have all come from Europe and are regarded as innovators and top level assistants.

If he resigned, he would be available. If he re-signed not so much.

We need forwards, id even take Brown from manly, as well as Frizell. Older experienced heads, and we will need to as at that age injuries will hit. Cut down Mays minutes and have freah forwards rotataing.

I think Brown has retired from the NRL.

I don't want Gentle anywhere near the club, I know it was a long time ago but from our reunions I've heard he's the same or worse, in 1986 trialing for Western Suburbs Presidents Cup Gentle was trialing he was arrogant, didn't have to mix with the players cause everything was going to be done for him, at the time I think his dad Ken was the 1st grade coach, but our coach at the time had the ball's to move him on, never seen him again till he was on TV in a coaches box as a assistant, that was a shock lol

If that was the case why would they stay if theyre.being ignored...not a very fulfilling role

I hope we don’t go into the season with Latu and javon. Not because I dislike them but having 2 halves that haven’t played a full season would be a career killer when the pressure of loosing a few games mounts imo .They would need pretty good mental coaches and that’s something that the tigers have never had.

After seeing some of our team selections, inexplicable use of the bench, poor development of so called young talent, lack of attacking skills particularly in the red zone and really poor defensive structures leads me to believe that our coaches may very well be mental.

At the very least you would have to say that something is not quite right.

I may be a poor judge but for what it's worth I see St.George and the Parra-sites as big improvers next season.

You just listed all the shortcomings of our coaches. Who's to blame? Are they all below par?
Benji did have the final say--and responsibility.
I totally agree from the outside looking in. The bench selections and game management seemed very poor and was reflected in the results---------repeatedly!
Do they have to wait until Christmas to understand what doesn't work?
OK, will try and do better next year-----I hope.

I think St George will have to with all the big name players they’ve bought. Parra I thought would improve this season after a great finish in 2025, but like us they actually finished lower than they did in 25, so who knows what will happen with them next season, especially with Luai on board.

He took on head coach role at Hull FC in the super league in 2012 and reached the playoffs and again in 2013 reaching the playoffs and getting to the Challenge cup final. Hull sacked him at the end of 2013 even though he got them to the playoffs twice and a Challenge Cup final in his 2 year stint. Tough gig.

You'd have to have someone watching them to see any hi jinx .....no one would care or recognise 3/4 of our squad

I think clubs want someone a little more contemporary. Gentle got a job because he was one of the boys is how it sounded.
