HBG, Independent Directors Sacked

So is The Trunp Organisation. It doesn't mean that there is no conflict of interest and non-commercial arrangements. The players that junior Richo sent to the club would not have got a gig at any other NRL club and it always sniffs when you give family a leg up with other people's money.
That's just not true. And besides at least the Trunp org wins a few contests.

The old Balmain Leagues Club in Rozelle, a long-time derelict site, is being transformed into Rozelle Village, an $800 million mixed-use precinct with apartments, shops, a supermarket, public spaces, and a new Wests Tigers Leagues Club. Developers PERIFA and Mitsubishi Estate Asia are building residential towers (up to 16 stories, some affordable housing) and community facilities, with completion expected around 2028, bringing new life to the iconic but neglected location on Victoria Road.

Wonder if the development is in sudden jeopardy?

I'm hoping it will go something like this;

Richo resigns from HBG on Monday to put himself at arm's length
PVL revokes HBG's licence for failing to act in the best interests of Wests Tigers
Laundy or the NRL takes up the licence
Richo gets reinstated as CEO
Business as usual with no HBG

That would be nice for us but there are dozens of possible outcomes.
I like your outcome, do you think we can have it sorted by the end of next week.

That's what I'd like to see, too
A Christmas miracle, but anything could happen here. PVL must be conflicted because he's all about expansion yet we already have too many Sydney based teams. If he came up with The Pacific Island Tigers based in New Zealand that wouldn't surprise me either! All we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best.

That's more like the fairytale now unfortunately, every new day seems to uncover another knife in the back, this Richo stuff has me feeling a little uncomfortable.
Me too. I started feeling uneasy when I first heard of the links with Richo's son and then more uneasy when I saw the calibre of player we were recruiting from his agency. It just is a recipe for problems and a source for allegations like this one currently being looked at. Having said that I'm not suggesting Richo has crossed the line. I hope he's got too much integrity for that.

Exactly 🤞🤞

How about an ownership model like the Green Bay Packers who are a community-owned NFP in the NFL and a very successful sporting franchise. Having said that they are the only top sporting franchise in the USA with that style of ownership.
10c per share for old Tigers, 90c for Magpies 😂

I wouldn't rule out a solution being nutted out before the end of next week. I don't think HBG will want the Pratten Park protest meeting and subsequent march on Wests Ashfield to proceed. It will be a disaster for them.

Working with family can be flirting with danger the temptation to help them out can be overwhelming, I hope that it turns out not to be the case but if there's a disguised money trail then he's in trouble.

I had married couples under me and it was such a pain in the arse....very conveniently only one of each held a license, always had to go on A/L together...then kids come into play, its BS

The difference is my friend he declared it from the outset. He is publicly on record discussing it. He didn't hide anything.

As for the players, if we're talking about Fats and Charlie Murray...fats was serviceable and worth what we were paying him for a bottom 30 contract. He held his own in NRL and was a good talent in Q Cup when we signed him. Murray was a gap filler and I don't think he's been extended. In fact neither were extended.

A CEO will tap into their resources. If you expect a CEO to never tap into friends, family and acquaintances that they've built over many years then what good are they?
