Probably a player who cant defend and has never played fullback.
Now your just being ridiculous. Bula had a good game on Sunday. We are paying a lot more for Luai to sit on the sideline and found a way to win two games without him . Its a team sport and if the coach and players back Bula whether you rate him or not means jack.
Edwards is a better fullback than Bula but I’m guessing he’s not available.

Great digging and delving for those stats. Thank you, I found them interesting and somewhat surprising. However, as we all know, stats only tell half the story. Bula's figures look good but it's the quality of contribution and their impact on the team's overall attack that matter. He is a stylish fullback, who does most things well enough but, as a lot of us maintain, his level is not elite and, therefore, not deserving of 900k.
He is not elite, ember will be elite, but is expecting elite layer money tj re-sign with us.
Is that so hard tj understand ?
I assume you would like the team you support tj win a grand final sometime soon, it is not happening if we re-sign Bula tj anymore than 700k
Why 700k maximum ?
The answer should be blatantly obvious, but if we have a pop gun fullback, we at least need cap space to try and find another elite attacking centre to help cover the lack of attacking quality from our fullback.

I suspect you’d be buying a guy who will have constant issues with head knocks and other injuries.

We havent played semi finals for 15 years and had 3 consecutive spoons, yet here you are talking us up like we are the penrith panthers on the rebuild.
Interesting that nrl 360 started their show tonight with highlights talking up Bula..

Any decent fullback would have made numerous tackle breaks and line breaks against an Eels team that were battered, bruised, had injured players on the field because they were running out of replacements and were physically exhausted.
We were extremely lucky to win as our attack was again so poor.
No doubt but I still see flaws in his game. Is that effort sustainable? I doubt it.
Every opposing fullback is better when they play us, that’s the problem.

We had them on toast before the sin bin. We should have scored another 3-4 tries. Bula came close on a few occasions.
I think we’ll see the best of bula as the season progresses and our best backline takes shape.

Now you are going a bit far …
Well if you like players who run the ball at three quarter pace, rarely breaks a tackle, rarely makes a line break, has no idea how to turn a 3 on 3 into a try scoring opportunity and is clunky and premeditated when passing the ball, then he’s your man.
Do yourself a favour and rate if he plays better than his fullback opponent between now and the end of the season and see what the tally is.
Absolutely no chance he gets the better of his opponent in 50% or more of our remaining games.
