Luai saved our arse on numerous occasions last week with his D or we don't win that game. We are as much of a reality check for him about playing in a bottom club compared to a top club, as we were in thinking he could make the difference we needed to get out of the doldrums.I think Luai definitely kickstarted something new/different at Tigers, but purely on playing terms I am fairly disappointed in his output.
I find Api about 100x more effective / inspirational and he would be on less coin.

Unfortunately Tiger this joint venture don't have the intelligence to realise that this team is no better under Marshall than they were 3 years ago, were still a bottom 3 teamCan't we go 1 year without these annual 60 plus point floggings
He is no better defending than the outside backs we already have,Averillo must be having buyer's remorse......is the cooling off period up yet??
I thought the bigger problem was the other side of the field.Skelton,Luai, Makasini cannot be picked again in the same side, poor tackling, poor defensive reading, this is basic 123 of playing Rugby League.
Perhaps that's the catalyst for buying Averillo?Plus and I mean this with all due respect….he isn’t a very good player.
Fair enough he bullied school kids because he was bigger than them but he has not looked capable, pretty much at all against men. Even when we were winning he was ordinary.
In about 30 minutes he will. Also he will need to look at his preparation for the boys.Has Benji told the journos that’s not who we are yet?
Is that right? LolAnd neither led to points.
Commbank stadiumYes i would say that it is worse because the side we fielded today is a level above the side against the cows imho.I am disgusted by what i saw today and it was a HOME game.
It’s cowardlyIs that right? Lol
I mean it’s just poor sportsmanship to blame the ref for this loss…
I think there's a strong argument for modification of the rules, and I thought I heard recently that many clubs had pitched to the NRL that the set restarts needed a re-think.We lack physicality and speed - and our depth is just not FG quality . Under the new rules we are no where near a top 8 squad it just exposes our weaknesses
How is expansion good for the game - despite what we dished up?? Clubs will be paying overs just to field a team.

Comes back to having no real depth and making basic errors against a champion side.Makasini is just pain useless
Cant tackle Cant catch Cant run
Benji stop putting kids on the front line
Charlie Murray also not a 1st grader
What is Maddens tactic ? Always kicks long so we can't contest any kicks
Luai poor with 1 try assist to his mates at Penrith
Just plain EMBARRASSING !
NO DOUEHI = NO HOPE .
Pointless whinging at 36-0 but ref ensures game begins with 18 tackles straight to Penrith yet Allomoti takes out Makasini who then cant tackle Too and is not a penalty ?
Also Penrith are able to make every play the ball by us Slow with the 3rd guy in the tackle .This is one of the secrets of their success and apparently is all ok with the refs .Other teams in contention ( not us ) take note !!
Agree 100%. Almost worse to start a season so promisingly, especially on the back of defence, then get smashed 4/5 weeks. What's really disappointing, again, is the first 7 rounds for us.....it was such a different team and to actually give the supporter base that and then dish out 4 games of this is just deflating.
I also hate the direction the NRL has taken the game, certainly over the last decade. There's been a lot of blowouts this year, a lot, it's not good.
There's been 2 games so far where teams have scored 60+, 6 games of 50+, 19 games of 40+ (we managed 2 of those)........it's only round 14 as well.
